The whole game is a asset flip like straight up everything's in the game from the city to the UI, Animations and gameplay mechanics are all assets bought from the store there is nothing that was hand made by the devs.

I thought all they tried to do here is to impress us with game graphics only. Luckily, steam refunded 100%.

It’s soulless because it has no originality. Everything that was put into this game was ripped from another source or just a straight asset flip in Unreal. It also was probably in development for like 5 months rather than 5 years. This was a marketing scheme for four years with the last year being some form of actual development. All people had to do was take a look at these Devs previous games and back catalogue, all their previous games have been either abandoned or shut down or never updated. I find it dumb that everyone starts/spawns in Woodberry and you're suppose to find supplies for Woodberry. So why is everyone going out there, finding loot and killing each other to bring stuff back to Woodberry? Wouldn't it make sense there are different factions you can join to get loot and kill members of the opposing factions for their loot.

*I'm starting to believe the "Conspiracy Theory" that the Devs over at Fantastic actually knew how many servers they needed in order to accommodate all the new players that are buying the game & playing on the day of relase BUT they purposely did NOT buy or rent extra servers because they wanted people to not be able to get into their servers so they go over the refund time limit of 2 hours... They wanted players to get stuck in the game trying to connect for over 2 hours so they cannot refund the game on Steam and get their money back that they spent on the game... Steam gives players the opportunity to refund a game they bought as long as they have not played the game for over 2 hours so if Fantastic made it too where players were not able to have any gameplay time during the 2 hours mark so they cannot see how bad the game is & refund it... Or its just straight up, "Lets keep the players stuck in the game for over 2 hours so they cannot refund it"*

I believe that theory actually has some truth to it, however luckily for us most people were able to refund. Steam are normally really good with customer support and I know people who got refunds 4-6 hours after playtime, I think due to all the bad press this game got it would be wise for Steam to not offer refunds to everyone as the product in itself was a massive lie, and I don’t think Steam would want this backlash directed at them. The best thing Steam can do right now though is drop the game from It’s platform.

This 100% was a money grab. Almost as if they paid someone to make trailers of a game that would get mega hype, and then they just attempted to make the game shown but failed miserably. Example would be the fact in the trailers it shows them vaulting and such, but you can't vault in the actual game.... Why would they remove the vault feature??? makes no sense.

tbf, The Division 1 was never marketed as a Survival game. It was always marketed as a Online Open World RPG. The survival mode they did eventually add though was great fun.

I don’t know anything about game development, but this doesn’t look like it’s far off the original comments time frame. Based on developers reactions and comments to their original gameplay it sounded like that alone could be put together in a couple weeks. It’s an asset flip from Unreal by what everyone is saying. I don’t think chastising someone’s comment that is likely pretty accurate is the way to go. Especially when the two clowns at the head of this developer are the ones you should be mad at.

@BrandonGavin_EDC - a year of spare time, at best. Unreal 5 makes this pretty much a point-and-click... especially with the amount of open source out there. Literally the only thing they had to code, was roughly 10% of the mechanics. They barely bothered to alter their ripoffs.

I was incredibly happy for this game to come out when I heard it from a friend. It sounded almost like a perfect game with 5 years of development what could go wrong? When I saw people playing this game it was nothing like what was shown or promise at all. In this day and age with props and assets in UE 5 there is no excuse in how small the map is compared to what was shown and said. This game should be pulled and given to a company who can actually make a quality game. If a company took this game that is actually proud of their work, this game would've been a slam dunk. The graphics look terrible and the gameplay is just flat out boring. This game is nothing but a shell of what was promised and without a doubt should be looked at by the FTC for how you could just flat out scam your customers.

What people don’t like is being told that the game is not an extraction shooter multiple times and that it is an open world survival mmo and then finding out on launch that it was a lie… If they had said it was an extraction shooter from the start they wouldn’t be getting as much hate as they are. @@CurtisBuilds I mean the worlds open in the sense that it’s about 10x (at least) the size of a Tarkov map, and there’s no “raid timer” or “countdown”that forces you to leave, you could be in the map for literal days IRL if you take enough food n water n ammo. I’m not saying it’s a fallout / red dead level of “MMO” or “RPG” We were always under the impression from the early footage it would be an extraction shooter but with some “MMO aspects” thrown in (like social hub, trading, the gym thing we got to train stats, crafting etc, RP with VoIP etc) which obviously aren’t all in the game yet (if they ever DO come lmao) the whole “MMO” thing is difficult as the meaning has changed n morphed over the years, now people use “mmo” as an encompassing term for anything with stats you can train and quests / traders etc, when mmo quite literally means (as you obviously know) multi massive online. I think anyone with half a brain knew damn well that this wasn’t going to be “multi massive” in any capacity, Tarkov which has been around for 7 years now nearly can’t even get more than 10 people on a server without it crumbling and dying, no idea how people expected this random Chinese company who make propnight type games to have 100/500/1000 people on a server (“MMO” type server player numbers) and it actually work with the level of detail fidelity they showed off to us, was never ever gonna happen. Even valve / steam would probably struggle to get MMO numbers of players into one server when it’s a third person shooter, a LOT easier when it’s a “real mmo” something like WoW / Guildwars etc etc cos it’s way less system / connection intensive. I see your points 100% n can see why some people are pissed they didn’t get what they expected but as is life, there’s plenty of good MMOs and RPGs and MMORPGS and looter shooters / zombie survivals out right now, people should give their money to one of those companies. I know what the worlds like so I know we weren’t gonna get what we were shown so I’m not that fussed about it, ima jus ply it for a few months until it dies or gets updates, then move on to the next game n laugh about TDB haha. Almost every game has server issues of some kind on launch day. Is it too much to ask for people to learn to expect these issues? I mean, most of you people should be smart enough to learn, right? Is that really too much to ask? To have the ability to LEARN? Plenty of games also don't have a proper queue system. It's not abnormal. It's annoying though. I get it. They can add melee. They can add vaulting/mantling. They can make balance adjustments. And I suspect that the lack of zombies has to do with the obvious lack of optimization and server performance. Which is expected with an early access title. And this will also affect how many accessible buildings there are. Maybe I am the last rational person in the world. But to me, reviewing a game based off of day 1 issues should get you slapped in the face. It's embarrassingly stupid IMO. I don't care about marketing. The game is out, marketing doesn't matter any more. I would give this game a 5/10, based on it's promise. There is a lot of work to do in order to clean things up. I would never give this a proper steam rating based off of a few hours. I've played MUCH worse. Like Dead Matter. Star Citizen. I believe that people gave this game a bad rating before they ever played it. They hated the company and the delays so much that their minds were already set. Under normal circumstances, I think people would give this game a chance to grow. But all the drama with this title ruined any chance at success. Even if this game came out with no bugs and fully polished, people would still call it a scam.

This games development, and the people behind it, have been thoroughly documented over the last few years. games launching with out adequate Server space is out of control look at lost ark and one that upset me alot was payday 3 in the beta the game was good then launch day happened i couldn't get into a game for 18 hours and i was just trying to play alone with bots. game componys need to get there acts together if they want to push there players to always be online, why should we pay for a game that we can't play because of they can't be asked to make sure there servers Can hold up to the stress of day one player loads.

Financial Support, I tested it out and it kept happening, potentially a bug? But seems a feature so nobody is running around completely lootless, it gives enough for a gun, backpack and some supplies. Also their Discord is locked for me, and for others I've spoken to.

My point was highlighting the fact Bethesda claimed that Starfield had been “years in the making” only to have a game that feels very empty and lacking a lot of content. I was expecting Fallout / Skyrim in space and it just wasn’t. Starfield isn’t an awful game and I enjoyed playing it, but it is very very empty. It is by no means a flop like The Day Before but it was met with a lot of criticism to the points I made. Hundreds of planets in the Starfield universe and the game just feels empty and baron, I’d of rather had a lot less planets with more going on and more fleshed out content wise.

But you could change or improve just a few aspects of Starfield and end up with a great game. Day before needs to be restructured entirely just to become an average game!!!!
