Brian Charles Lara, the GOAT 💯. I watched this as a young boy on television and was in awe of Lara. To this day he's still my favorite batsman. He was truly a sight to see and I saw him both times he broke the world record, truly the GOAT

That was the greatest innings I had ever seen in person. Being a West Indies supporter those times were really dark times and to see Brian Charles in his full glory was a joyful reminder of what we had in the past. Lara's innings was measured and his thinking was masterful. Shout out to Ambrose and Walsh those guys were warriors. Cheers to the best innings I have ever seen in person. I have said it many times. Lara's class, cricketing experience, gracefulness at the wicket, prolific run scoring ability is both incomparable and untouchable. No other Caribbean batter has even a close second place to B C Lara. He is way ahead of all else who have played the game of cricket for the West Indies. The GOAT by a long long long way!!

The world knows Lara was the greatest batsman in the history of cricket. 🏏 when they both played Sachin had more games played with less runs than Lara. Lara ranked #1 ways longer, he had more records. Lara didn't play against the weaker team like Bangladesh, Kenya. Unlike Sachin, Lara had no teammates to help him with the bat. He was always under tremendous pressure because if he failed the team would lose. If you ask 80% of the top cricketers who played against both they chose Brian Lara as the best.
