Wow man this really touched me. Just last year I had spinal fusion surgery and my family told me that I wasn’t going to be able to do things that I could do before but I tried and tried and recovered and was able to get myself back to where I was before. Hello Isaiah, I'm 13 years old and on September 26, of the year of 2022 I got Hit by a car traveling at 55mph. I was taken to the closest hospital in Topeka Kansas, and they scanned my brain and I was announced to be braindead, and like you the tools that they had there were not enough, and I was taken to Children's Mercy hospital in Kansas city, later in the week They scanned my brain again and it turned out that I had suffered a severe brain injury, and I had also broke my right arm lower leg ruptured an artery in my neck and fractured my pelvis. I was in a coma for at least 1 week after the accident. But my brain injury made it so I cannot recall a two-week period in the time i stayed in the hospital, and had absolutely deleted some of my childhood memories and has made some memories unclear, I have just been told that these times happened and cannot even recall the memories of the day it happened. I had to learn almost every motor skill in my legs again and all the movements in my right arm as well. I finally stepped out of the hospital on November 18, of 2022. but like you I do not think of my self as a handicapped person. It is 2024 and I have mostly recovered, but I am still doing PT to get everything good

I literally got a minor head injury and it took my reading skill to a kindergarten level. but you survived this dang I need to stop moping and do something with my life. your going to go far isaiah. Edit: after this video I started running a mile everyday. I hate running but I am making me do it. I also started read three books. and already completed two of them. I am a long way form done too. I gotta prove that I am worth the effort of a person to help me. starting May 20 2024.

About 3 months ago i broke both my legs whilst snowboarding, i was sad and i didnt want to do anything. I said i was never going to snowboard again. Still recovering and saying that i was never going to do one of my favourite things ever again was crushing me. I was crying and then this video came to me. Thank you Isaiah for this.
