I think Bumblebee and ROTB have shown us that this franchise has a new potential. They may not be the strongest of films, but remember that these two are only a setup for something bigger to come. The people saying this franchise is dead are going to be mistaken when the next 2 films come out. I believe this will be the definitive way to tell the Transformers/G.I. Joe story in a live action setting, and im all here for it!

Idk about this, after Bee's movie they should have just went with a basic Autobots vs Decepticons movie, then a Beast Wars crossover movie, then an Unicron movie. They did too much with just one movie and it doesn't hit quite right, they also reintroduced some of Bay's way of doing things and violent Prime which i feel is a no no, not to mention that they changed some of the characters for no reason when Bee movie got it right with its G1 accuracy. The movie is still pretty good, but they could have approached things alot better imo.

​@@AndreiCatalin42069i agree, but i think they didnt do that because of time and director choices, like the analysts gave paramount two-three years to live before they go to bankrupt (which paramount risked it after tf5 flop), so they dont have the money and probably the security to create a small tf universe, and also i think the whole movie that steven wanted to make was ruined because of covid and lack of expirence in doing a cgi blockbuster movie (this is his first time on doing this sort of movies) and last but not least, this movie along the bbm were more a expirement for hasbro, to see what they need and not need to do to keep alive the tf movies, like the bbm was a lot different to the bay movies, and it lacks of action scene (but the few we had were aswome), but it had a lot of heart, but with rotb they had the brillant idea to mix the travis and bay style into one movie, which it should do a lot of money because of the good amount of heart and action(also some aspect for some char, like prime which is pretty more violent, but at least here he have a motivation), but this for me just ruined the movie, and thats lame since the few times i see also steven style, damn i liked it a lot, like the human and transformer relationship, the horror aspect for the terrorcons, the huge amount of fan service, even the fact that steven just introduced more transformers race and planets with some exploration of the lore (which still isnt enough through), the fact is steven have the right talent for doing a great tf movie, the problem were the writer and the choice to just doing a normal action blockbuster movie, instead of doing a good tf movie with good story/char and lore exploration, something that i hope steven learn, since hes pretty much active on the social

It's because of both the designs and the animations in general. They had a smaller budget for this movie, so instead of having everything be over-designed and "realistic" - they chose to focus on just making it look good and simple.

To me, it's really a style choice. Bay movies wanted to ground everything in reality and make everything hyperrealistic. Its con however, is that they are too expensive which is why they tend to cover the action in a lot of stuff (which to be fair IS realistic too) and clever (albeit shaky) camera movements. Bumblebee and RotB chose to be less focused on being hyperreal and blending everything so it wholly accepts having everything on camera at the expense of feeling less "there" in the action with them.
