Hello My friend, I think one of the things we enjoy in our hobby is that our kit that we buy is quality and beautifully made. In some of the miserable, dark, depressing winter evenings, I'll have my air rifle on my knee, while cleaning and polishing it, just loving the contours of the walnut stock and the blueing quality, position, crispness of the trigger, etc. I find these days, there's less opportunity to do that, as speed and quantity factors seem to rule and be the focus. It's nice to see someone loving their kit and appreciating what they've purchased with their hard earned and sacrifice. I know exactly what you mean and is one of many lovely parts of our hobby and not all about power and pulling trigger, as some seem to think. What's also satisfying to me, is that it's one of a few British manufacturer's leading the way in air rifle technology.

Hey thanks Mike, it’s still uploading to 4K as we speak mate! KZbin will publish it first in SD then goes to HD THEN to 4K it takes about 2 hours after upload. Thanks for watching and engaging. Denny.

I think you will find that Lothar Walther make 'button rifled' barrels where BSA, CZ and I think Cometa make hammer forged barrels. I think Lothar Walther actually pioneered the button rifling method.
@brynybach77417 ай бұрын
I think the button rifled method is probably the most widely used. The cold hammer forged method is a lot more expensive to set up.

Thanks for watching, every day is a school. I was lead to believe there cold hammer forged ? Either way is a great barrel. Thanks for sharing your information.

Great stuff, my friend. From S California. I’ve been going back and forth debating on my next toy between this revere and the vixen. I might as well get both .. I’ll have the two of them eventually anyways. What optic and rings are those? Looks awesome Have a great week ahead! -Jas

Never mind about the optic. Just watched your previous vid. One Leaf optic. Rapid fire.

Hi Jas, thanks for watching my video. I’ve done a Video on the mounts there still available on eBay plenty of people sell them! Fantastic mounts indeed. Thanks again Denny.

Great rifle, my son has the bolt action one, the one that preceded the Reviere, very very accurate.. Had no issues with the gated magazine on my Redwolf, even from the aftermarket one I bought to compliment the original.. Suppose every rifles different though..
@Ratsinthereticles7 ай бұрын
Yes the Regal is a great rifle! My main issue with the magazine is it’s very fiddly to fill being a 177 as well it’s never jammed just fiddly and can be and is pellet fussy as some pellets breach in the holes instead of dropping all the way in! Other than that the gun is near perfect and I really love it. Thanks for watching and engaging mate. Denny.

You said the mag can be fussy with certain pellets. I am looking at picking up one of these guns so I would be curious to know which are problematic for you and what you pellet of choice is?
@Ratsinthereticles7 ай бұрын
Hi James thank you for watching. The only pellets that I’ve found that don’t breach on the holes are QYS super streamline 9.56gr. Everything else I’ve tried breaches and you have to push them through with a tooth pick as your accuracy may be a problem if you don’t ? Hope this helps.
@JamesC-no5jd7 ай бұрын
@@Ratsinthereticles so is it qys or nothing then if I am out on the field and I am not carrying something to seat them correctly? It sounds a bit concerning, is there any chance your mag hasn’t been machined properly?
@Ratsinthereticles7 ай бұрын
No the Daystate gated mag is a nightmare with other owners they all say the same some pellets breach some don’t I’m just saying the pellets I tried breached but QYS go in perfectly I wouldn’t say it’s not been machined properly as other people say the same! I was aware of this before I purchased the gun that it had a gated magazine and i personaly don’t like them, there to fiddly to refill compared to like HW100 or AGT Mags, at the end of the day I would not let it put you off buying a Revere! They are a sublime rifle and that’s my only gripe but everything else is near perfect. I’d just stick to QYS pellets I do and never have an issue. There expensive pellets but there also outstandingly good as well.

@@Ratsinthereticles on one of the forums I go on someone recommended Carm-magazines. They have a mag for Daystates and quite a few vouched for them. Much cheaper too. Might be worth a look?

I just got the same gun New but I have noticed slight movement of the barrel at the end in-between barrel and cylinder, were they are held together at forend, is this normal, let me know if it is
@Ratsinthereticles7 ай бұрын
Yes perfectly normal mine is the same just don’t rest your shroud or end of barrel on anything but I don’t know anyone that shoots like that maybe a complete novice would but not an experienced person. As you hold it in the forehand on the stippled part of the stock! Hope this helps.
