Honestly I prefer the idea of Metallo being the main villain of Batman V Superman than Doomsday and the set up was there with that guy in the movie who lost his legs because of Superman and manipulated by Lex Luthor. However that concept art design for him look ridiculous and he looks like something right out of GI Joe toy. If rhey would've just kept Metallo and instead of that guy getting a wheelchair bomb by Lex, they could've had Lex manipulate the guy into getting surgery for his legs but unknowingly become a cyborg under Lex's control, that would've been cool

They did a much better job at Doomsday in *Superman & Lois* and *Krypton* (even when it aired as a kid, I was never a huge fan of the *Smallville* Doomsday, even though he looks OK when he's not moving) with much smaller budgets... This DCEU version looks like a cave troll from LOTR, and not in a cool way.

BvS is just one GIGANTIC missed oportunity. Just call it Batman and Superman: World's Finest, have Metallo as a villain, have Batman that doesn't kill everyone left and right like some anti-hero similar to Punisher or Deadpool and be more accurate to the character, have them both beat Metallo and Lex Luthor, and have Wonder Woman making a cameo in the end. But nooooooooo, WB had to be WB, and Zack Snyder had to be himself.

IDK when overdesigning first began to plague superhero media but the DCEU was the apotheosis of it. Translating a character straight from the panel onto the screen is always met with the best results and praise, but instead we got ine of the scariest and most intimidating monsters in fiction looking like "your brain on drugs".

I like to think that another timeline got the Metallo Cut of BvS, which had no Doomsday (maybe some foreshadowing), no Death of Superman and only a bit of Wonder Woman. As for The Flash movie, I'm still not sure why they couldn't make Flashpoint, they had the perfect actors for Thomas and Martha Wayne, they already established the Amazons and Atlantians, in my ideal world they would've done a Cyborg movie before or after Justice League, they set up Superman and the Suicide Squad. They basically had all the stuff and did nothing with it.

From what I understand, all of the butchery WB did to Justice League was first done to Suicide Squad. There is an supposedly a director's cut of Suicide Squad somewhere that is almost an entirely different movie from the one we got, but WB has no plans to release it.

The Metallo idea was literally right tf there for them to use especially with the guy’s motivation. Instead of Wally his name should’ve been John Corbin and they should’ve went with that idea. Batman v Superman is probably the most disappointing movie and the biggest L in comic book movie history because it missed out on so much potential.

That Scarecrow is amazing! And haha Kryptonite is greener on the other side. ahhhh man...I would have loved to see Metallo! Superman TAS Metallo theme music ruled! My favorite take on the character ever! And characterization-wise, I liked Doomsday in Smallville and the DCAU more than the comics! And yep, the Batman V Superman armored Batman design rocked! We went from badazz to bad with that DCEU Flash imo. Woof! My favorite adaptation of Barry Allen, heck, maybe overall favorite interpretation of Barry since my favorite in the comics was the Carey Bates Flash run but I didn't finish it yet...was the Batman Brave and the Bold cartoon depiction! I also remember that being the most accurate adaptation to the spirit of the Wally West comics characterization that I liked (however, my favorite adaptation is the 2003 LightSpeed Teen Titans cartoon Wally!). It was a sincere serious one. Not like the Outrageous Aquaman! If Batman Brave and the Bold was released now, I think it would be way better appreciated! And even though I consider Batman The Animated Series the greatest comic adaptation I've ever heard/read/played/listen to, but I thought the BBatB cartoon Batman was the truest adaptation to the spirit of the Batman characterization I read similar to the 90s TAS for Spider-man even if it might not have been the best... The Metallo design is the only one I've seen before, and I always thought it was weird, but would've fit the BVS story much, much better than Doomsday. Their taken on Doomsday was basically the backstory to Bizarro: a creation of Lex Luthor's based on Kryptonian DNA. Really, they just wanted a big ugly monster for Superman and Batman to team up against, and like you said, Metallo would've been much more fitting. But that design, no. I think they could've done something in line with their "experimental military weapon" design language they're going for, while making it more cool and interesting than that Bayformer-tier pile of trash. Feels like such a departure in a similar way to Nolan's Batman designs for the Batmobile and Batwing in the Tumbler and BAT, respectively, but those worked and felt real. This Metallo concept art is just poops from a butt.
