"Adolescents are more impulsive and they live more for the moment. [...] One of the things that I would recommend to you, if you want to protect yourself from *ideological possesion* shall we say, is that you hear people speak politically and they dont say anything about your responsibilities, you should probably stop listening to them. Because whenever they try and offer you something, if it doesnt come along with an equivalent cost, there is something being hidden from you. And they are appealing to the part of you that is - at best - adolescent." ─ Jordan Peterson

Good. Gracious. 🤯 Have you ever heard of the concepts of cosmic balance?. It's an idea I heard through my passing of young manhood. I've named it that. It's the idea that the plane of existence requires the appropriate amount of Chaos and Order. And when one his used as a tool to corrupt the system, the other is Obligated to intervene. I think, believe , Mr. Peterson, is a tool of that intervention. We are all better to heed his words and warnings. Yet he is just a man.

@@GavinMichaels You know, I've never cared for socialized healthcare. But seeing someone who seems to be as level headed as you that's willing to have discussions makes me more open to the idea, because I can trust you not to get lost in arrogance. It's really hard to be humble these days, it seems everyone at every level is arrogant and incapable of self-reflection. Or, as you put it, unable to take responsibility for their mistakes. I genuinely think constructive compromise could be found if people were more humble, seeking to learn what they don't know and trusting that their opposition might know something they don't.

I think at some point every male goes through a "Hakuna Matata" phase. Though it functions to sustain the young man, it never allows him to grow beyond it, even though it presents The Whole World as a proposition for fulfillment. Any way, I agree.👍

Everybody , this whole series from him is worth a listen to. I take to heart and mind the ideas he projects and mentions. Although No man deserves an idolatrous following , many earn the right for praise, and few don't let it go to their heads. I pray that Mr. Peterson has the wisdom to continue standing firm in his convictions. While he remains a channel from order to breach our current chaos , we still have a hope of a balanced and positive future. I hope everyone can make the best use of thier day and help to better each other during it.

It is interesting to watch this after having finished the first season of HoTD. It is the same story (not exactly the same obviously) in that the wise peaceful king ignores his evil brother and ends up losing control of The State to evil forces.

Lol 🤣 u found Deamon evil? R U for Real? He literally backed down coming for throne after ep2 out of love for his niece and knew its not worth it killing his own kin for some time on throne. Nothing gets heroic then that. Also he took the head of the person who insulted his wife and his stepson INFRONT OF EVERYBODY. They say chivalry is dead, but these things pop up in our cultural things 1 way or the other. Whether it be in noval or some tv show or movie or song 🤣. Look of aemond when Deamon killed the insulter was the look of AWE look of admiration. Best scene of the entire season 🤣 & u think hes evil? JP if watched HOD would likely give similar summary of his character

@@words007 Nothing admirable about that ,Daemon has little control over his agression. However the King has too much restraint otherwise Daemon would've been been ended long time ago. Plus Daemon made Rheanera the way she is so she is his little puppet which is ultimetly better for him than direct rule.

Here's my reading: In the Lion King (1994) Simba will show king-like behavior even when he is not following the advice of his father. Nor is his father presence. So he is subconsciously aware that:"Daddy isn't there to save him". He then tricks someone that is following him (Zazu) to get away with his girl friend Nala (future wife). He shows he is not supervisable, like a king. Then he goes head on in an area of danger, but he is manipulated by scar, which is understandable a child can't see through (not kinglike though). However, when Zazu finds him he does not leave. He made his decision and sticks with it (like a king). He laughs at danger and danger laughs right back. His Laugh is sweet and light-hearded (like a kid). The hyena's laugh is clearly evil and nasty in response. When he sides back to protect Nala, he is completely unfazed by the hyena's. Edit: I'll continue if anyone is interested in this story.

At 16 I did prep for 6 months, and 5 years down the road (while also prepping for suicide at the same time cause that's what chronic suicidality does). Is Simba at fault, no... In the end he's still a child and blaming him for one adult murdering another is just wrong on several levels morally and legally.
