The fact you can hear Atom crying afterwards...my heart Credits to astroboy2003sub on Tumblr for the subs, go check them out. I obviously don't own Astro Boy, it belongs to Sony and Tezuka.

@@Astroniko003 You know he had become a terrible father when in the final episode, he truly regretted his actions for what he did to poor Atom and realized the gigantic, shadowy burden within his mind that he was nothing but a terrible father this whole time. I mean, he even made genuine tears and hugged Atom as he realized this; showing that he was such a tragic character.

Correction: You miss the GOOD early 2000's animations. Try not to ignore the many hot garbages that was produced at the time. It was very experimental then.

@nguyenhuutrung3413 yeah. We were just starting to use digital animation and nobody was entirely sure what they where doing.

The early transition into digital animation around this era is generally regarded as one of the ugliest periods in anime, this is one of the good ones where the colors arent horrendously washing out all the detail. Even the rest of this specific show doesnt look this good

@@jsh020 This specific show looks beautiful.
@Astroniko003 Жыл бұрын
@jsh020 As much as I absolutely adore how Astro Boy's 2003 series looks, the consistency of the art style was definitely... _yeeesh,_ it could get badly far off from the main style at times in retrospect. All things considered though, the animation itself was almost always really pretty to look at. My personal favorite is probably episode 50 just because of how _gorgeous_ it looks.

Aside from Final Fantasy 7, Astro Boy 2003 predicted Pluto's removal as a planet. Remember Super Nova?
@alster7242 жыл бұрын
I remembered this scene. Pluto will not die since he is only a robot. He only gets destroyed. His and Atlas' destructions (not deaths since they are robots) are the saddest. The good news is we get to see them again in the Blue Knight/Robotonia Arc. Atlas returns a few episodes after this.
@drixg555 Жыл бұрын
Before Robotania, Atlas was rebuilt by a mad scientist and implanted with a Nexus Chip that turned him into a puppet of anti-robot terrorists. Astro fought him and he regained control of his mind just in time for him to stop a rocket that was going to kill his human father at the cost of his life.
