Which world are you living in? One journalist Thapar is the son of a general of the Indian Army who surrendered to China in 1962 war and lost Indian territory Akshai Chin to China. The general was dismissed but “officially” he resigned! Another journalist sold the Hindu newspaper to a Church and continues to write against Hinduism while falsely naming the paper as the Hindu. The third is a lawyer and a member of parliament and does not hesitate to use the parliamentary privileges while pleading cases. Worst he is married to a lady who owns one of the leading beef export houses.

My favourite persons in the last 4 decades of watching these personalities in the television thise days and never thought that all the three at one place exchanging thoughts of free press. I still remember that Kapar's interview with former chief minister Jayalalitha as she walked out and that day onwards i became the fan of Kapar ji. Same way during Bofor's day my letter was published in The Hindu in the letters to the editor column in Aug. Of course the eloquent and the accent and the well mannered respectable advocate Kapil Sibal. Now the time to form the trust on bringing the free press immediately and please the trio should engage the technical expertise in the social media field thwarting the AI thereby upholding our democracy which is at peril under the current environ.

It is a pleasure to watch two eminent Indian journalists.Mr.Karan Thapar is quite known personnality as I am a regular watcher his podcasts on The Wire.But I am introduced to another great Indian journanlist Mr.N Ram. It has been rightly pointed out that the Indian media is controlled by the Indian corporate sector. These corporates not only funds politicians of their choice who would make policies in order to protect the intetests of the corporate sector but also provide their support through the media. Recently a well known Egyptian satireist by the name Yousuf Bassam who now lives in the USA was addressing Indian audience in India.On being asked to comment on Putin he said that Putin is undoubtedly a dictator but the democratic system of the west is also a dictatorship with a new version. Because the electoral system in the USA is supported by various corporates and lobbyists for the protection of their own vested intetests.😢

Mr. Sibal, You side stepped the most precious & direly needed proposal of, I think Karan Thapar (I will have to go through the talk again to verify), that to save/strengthen the 4th pillar of our democracy, people like you three and many more, who have the name and financial worth also to start a Trust that starts a TV channel matching NDTV( the time when it was not a puppet )or BBC for the masses of your own country . This country has brought you to your present status and you owe a lot to it in return atleast. The present reach of your KZbin channel is amongst a few hundred thousand English speaking people like us, who listen to your Frank opinion just to apply balm on our crushed conscience. What about our other less - literate society or our other country men? You people have been given name, fame & wealth by this country and you are not in a Government /private service, bound by its rules & regulations. Your present endeavour, though laudable, is perhaps a pittance of you people's actual worth - your intelligence/financial worth. And look at your respective age/s. Another decade or two.
