Out of four, Dr Harsha only spoken the realistics. Slogans and beautiful theory won't take SL forward. The capability of the leader and his team, especially their respective experience in state and private sectors and domain expertise (qualifications), are the critical requirements to carry forward any program.

Really?? Do you know he was in power in the past? He talks like the public stopped him walking the talk. Remember his qualifications and experience didn’t work all this time as he is a part of the corrupted bunch of morons. So he can bluff and bluff and bluff. Harsha performed best in my opinion. He even tried defending Sajith's gallery statements. Ranjith Bandara was bull shitting all the time. Semasinghe didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Harshana was disappointing to say the least. Chaturanga Abeysinghe would have done better job for NPP.

It is known facts that Dr. Harshana is from NPP is not politically experienced as the other three politicians. Bringing the NPP into power is largely about moving away from the old political culture and corruption. I have great respect for Mr. Harsha de Silva,he has introduced many positive initiatives to society, such as the Suwa Sariya program and others. However, my main concern is the team he represents. Personally, the whole program feels like to me three-in-one. Nonetheless, I wish Dr. Harshana all the best in his future endeavors.

We can clearly see three is to one debate (3:1) and it shows a growth in people potential, i have listened to this sharply and got that Dr. Harsha did well and Dr.Harshana was trying to say about the corrupted system over the past years, that brought us to this situation for IMF. We will change this corrupt system and we stand for zero tolerance for corruption

I am listening from Canada. Hatsha's fine worded gibberish is just sad and scary. These policies are failed repeatedly all over the world. There is absolutely nothing called a 'free market' - there has never been and there will never be, especially for a bankrupt and corrupt country like SL. IMF is NOT Sri Lanka's saviour. Nor has it ever been for any so called developing countries. I am just flabbergasted by the way he talked not only about these failed policies but also individualizing an essentially a collective effort (referring to Sajith, the one man show). OMG! If these guys come to power Sri Lanka will fall from the frying pan to fire!!!

Harsha is good only when he talks..he has forgotten that he also ran away when he was given opportunity to serve the country when it was mostly needed. Let him talk all the way to his destiny. God bless on country's destiny coz actually can't figure out who will bail out this country based on people's understanding on whom to be selected as the president of this country in Sep 2024.

Our question should be: How many people like Dr. Harsha are in the SJB, and how many members in the NPP have ties to corruption? Can we list five main reasons why we should vote for the SJB? This particular forum seems to be filled with wealthy individuals, and I doubt there's anyone here who has truly experienced poverty or understands the daily struggles of the poor.

A country may have the best finance minister and sound financial policies, but true progress depends on the effective implementation of these strategies. Unfortunately, we have consistently fallen short in executing key policies promised by politicians before each election. This ongoing failure highlights the need for new leadership - someone with a clean record, free from any association with past corruption, to steer the nation forward with integrity and vision.

The audience of this debate is the business professionals who contribute to the economy of this country and not the ordinary public who are mere consumers. The intention of this debate is to build confidence of investors in the future government and to encourage investments towards Business ventures that generates employment opportunities to human resources and manpower in the country. You have to trade with countries that have a natural requirement and demand for your products. The profits you make depend on with whom you trade, for that matter the exchange rate matters. When it comes to commercial relationships with the world around, your economic philosophy, cultural policy and religious view matters. You should be able to embrace others and not be isolated or driven by economic philosophy, racial and religious bigotry. Without a credible and cooperative government, the rich investors will not invest in business ventures locally, instead they will invest in other Instruments worldwide.

It is obvious that Dr. Harsha has superior knowledge of economics that's enough to back his dumb leader. But the thing is, we have heard those fancy words and facts for decades and here we are now tired of being poor, tired of seeing corruption and thefts. You guys had enough time to handle this chaos. And specially I saw how you three were opposing that one guy from NPP proving that you guys are not from 3 parties but from 1. And it's not NPP that should answer your tricky questions, it is you who should answer to the people why you are defending and why you are protecting the parties who are responsible for this chaos. Theories are good. The question is who's gonna implement??? Joker Sajith??? Murderer Ranil??? Or master of theft and murdering Rajapaksha???

From 2010 to 2024 Sri Lankans have elected 3 presidents. Mahinda, Maithree, Gotabhaya. All three have contributed to the crisis we have faced today. All three failed to deliver whatever they promised us. All three took the country from bad to worse. 2010-2024 is 14 years of our valuable life. If we select another failure in 2024, another 5/6 years will add to the earlier 14 years and total will come to 20 years (1/4 of life time of a person). This time we have to think broadly and we have to think about the long run and should vote wisely.

Dr. Harshana keeps repeating the same thing without sharing a clear vision. He is trying to dodge all the questions. I remember seeing a similar interview with the Rajapaksha clan regarding the economy and they made a mockery out of that. But, still, the intelligent majority in this country elected him as the president. The rest is history. With this unclear answer, how will they receive investors' trust? I nervously feel that our country is heading towards the worst disaster of our times.

Before you judge the whole NPP campaign from this debate, please think again. Debating ability does not convey the ground reality. Others had the chance to prove themselves for many decades. But repeatedly failed. We must show the politicians that voters have the power to change inefficient and corrupt systems. If NPP too fails to deliver after winning this election, they will face the same.

Harasha de silva has knowledge but does not have a back borne against the corrupted people in their site. we remember, how he acted in central bank robbery. He has never blamed to Ravi Karunayaka, Ranil, Kiri Alla , sajith as well as lot of others. Every one use his knowledge to come power and then forget him. What he was given 2015 . He and Iran does not understand that their knowledge are used to come to power that's it. I am pretty sure , in by case if the Sajith would win , same thing is happening. I am sorry good people are bad place, protecting corrupted situation. Please give your & Iran knowledge to develop Sri Lanka under AKD government. Thanks

It's clear now that all the representatives are on the same page, regardless of their affiliations. From the beginning, the clowns from Pohottu and the Gas Cylinder group have been irrelevant-nothing to offer, nothing to gain. When it comes to Harshana, we all agree he's fine, but look at his stage. He's surrounded by the same failed, corrupt figures from across the political spectrum. I'm certain Harshana will never claim the Ministry of Finance, and even if he does, the necessary institutions won't be in place to allow him to function effectively. We know who Sajith is, after all-just as he claims, "Premadasa's son." The NPP, on the other hand, is different. They have a clear vision and leadership that supports getting things done. That's where our focus and trust should be. Enough is enough-it's time for a change.

Investments are needed for business ventures. Business ventures also need human resources and manpower to run efficiently. Without investors there are no business ventures. There are many investment instruments available for the rich to invest their money. They Invest in business ventures only if it is profitable. Most importantly It needs a cooperative government. For that they need governments that aren't lopsided towards manpower and against business interests. Business ventures expect to make maximum profits from exports with countries that have the natural requirement and demand for their products and services. They also like to deal with countries that provide the maximum foreign exchange. Without a credible government that can support their requirements, investors will not invest in business ventures, instead they will invest in other Instruments. Without investments in business ventures, the livelihoods of human resources and workers will suffer. For a government to survive, there must be revenue-generating business ventures and the livelihood of the people should thrive.

Harshana is not a politician, Dr Nalin Jayatissa would be a good choice for this place. Don't get amused by these talks by Dr Harsha de silva. They are well worsed in talking. If politicians are not worsed in talking how a bunch of 222 can fool 22.2 million people. Remember what happened during 2015-2019, they have to take collective responsibility. If not in 10 years, after sajith do silly mistakes, and Dr Harsha and sujeewa, patali and the group form another group like SJB, lets say SJB 2.0, they will say, we are not responsible bankruptcy SJB has done. We are sjb 2.0 and our presidential candidate is patali champika, we are a different team than the sajith's team. So these so called, this will go iteratively without anyone taking responsibility. During 2015-2019, 12 billion isb was taken, they say loan was repaid, but loan increased. How sad?

@@N44886 very funny, do you think UNP is not responsible for this crisis. They are the mastermind of this crisis who got escaped from it. They borrowed 12 billion USD in ISB from 2015-2019 and claim they repaid the loan but the external debt of Sri Lanka increased from 43 billion USD to 56 billion USD when UNP period finished. It's is yes, Gota who made some foolish decision but it alone didn't cause these problems. The current debt restructuring is done with these sovereign bonds which was crucial for becoming bankrupt. During that period Bond scam Digana riot Vandha koththu Vandha endhuma Vandha dhosthara GDP shrinkage Easter attack All happened. Anyone can show finger towards a single entity but SJB is responsible for all these. What happened to those ISB. One thing you have to understand, supporting someone before engaging in corruption and after engaging in corruption is different. MR didn't have charges when JVP supported him 2005, and it was due to Ranil JVP had to take such a decision to defeat LTTE. If Ranil won in back in 2005, I'm not sure what would happen to war. But my question is MR and Co started much of the corruption after the war ends which was after 2010 election in that JVP was not part of it. And JVP left the party when they broke the promise. So my question according to your opinion who is best candidate?

Why are the other three trying to corner the NPP member? Why does Dr. Harsha smile sarcastically whenever the NPP member explains something? Dr. Harsha may be articulate, with a good accent and strong command of the language, as well as knowledgeable. However, they were part of the 2015 government when the central bank was looted. Why didn't they convince the monetary board not to approve the amendments that the central bank governor made at RW's instruction over the phone? Why does Dr. Harsha keep displaying sarcasm towards the NPP member? There's no point even discussing the other two.

Dr.Hasha did well here but think about the government he was in before GR, what has happened to our country over the past years, only we see corruption and its the fundamental for this crisis. i know only revealing corruption we can grow as a country but in order to start the growth, someone should take up the leadership. What he is addressing is correct according to me

@Samsds72 - You should know how to write English in a such forum. Not ‘a educated’ - it should be ‘an educated’ Pannel should be spelled as panel. Indipendence should be spelled as independence Not ‘in full screen’ should be ‘on full screen’
