Thank you Ben for such an informative video. I think we should be kind to you and say walkie-talkie. It’s a very precise image with a solid route through for the viewer. Can’t wait for the third section and will be interested to see the use of the Artisan plug in. Thank you again 🙏🙏

Can't wait to see your video on how you processed these images with the Artisan Pro plugin. Great tutorial.

I will wait to see which image is everyone’s preferred choice and then somehow remember how i edited it all those months ago 😂. I actually have quite a few fine art edits on the go, so I have lots of ideas and tips to share when I male the video

Very enjoyable, Ben. Thanks for doing this. My votes for the full edit - Gehry 1 or Walkies 1. I think they're more typical of what I (and many others) might be inclined to try as beginners.

I’ve been hoping you would do something like this for a while now.I’m looking forward to your full edit video. I’ve been working with Joels panel for a little while and there is a definite learning curve to using it. I’m hoping your edit will incorporate it. My vote for the shot is either of the Gehry buildings. He’s amazing!

Hi Joe, yes part 3 will involve using the Artisan Pro panel. I edited all of the images that I have already shared using the 2021 version, however since I switched to mac I am now using the latest version that works with Photoshop CC.

Very dramatic editing changes. Great vision. First, I'd like to see you do the Walkie Bldg, since you said that was the simplest. Then second the Ghery bldg, to really show off your masking, gradient and other techniques. Thanks for doing these. It inspires me.

Thanks for sharing, Ben! I would suggest you choose whichever image is the least complicated to walk-through, and one with some sky replacement so we can see how you handle that.
@benharveyphotographyКүн бұрын
I think that a simpler more ‘accessible’ would be best also, so that more people could follow along and not feel overwhelmed. I think that some of the more simple images are more effective anyway.

for me any full edit workflow is interesting to see (I anyway follow you since quite some time and know how it basically works)

Thanks Andreas, I think the key to a successful editing tutorial is making it succinct and logical (explaining why you use certain tools etc). When I watch editing tutorials I get lost very quickly and lose interest. My workflow have changed since some of my earlier tutorials, and i would say for the better. I look forward to sharing part 3 with you.

@benharveyphotography I think it probably makes sense not to explainn the most complicated example where you created 50 or more selections. Otherwise a lot of people probably loose the interest when they realize that this is nothing which you do in 10 minutes.

Beautiful images! Love your fine-art images. Somehow, I missed part #1! I feel like a very lazy editor after watching this! ;-) Happy to see any of the images processed. It might be interesting to see the one _you_ like the most processed and why if it does not happen to coincide with the audience's choice. Just a thought. Cheers!

Super interesting, thank you so much for sharing. You are inspiring me to give this "fine art" genre a try. I am yet to find out how patient I will be in making such a copmlex group of selections! In answer to you question, the Walkies image for me. Appreciated 🙂

Thanks Greg, it is worth specifically heading out and capturing some potential images, so that when you have a rainy weekend (or too much Xmas holiday to entertain yourself) that you can give it a go!

Great video Ben, I really enjoy these images and looking to start practicing Do you think there is a way to achieve a similar (definitely not better) result using Lightroom Classic? Andy

Very much lied your Redemption Roasters edit Ben and definitely done the right thing getting rid of the background clutter. I’ve still to edit my Gehry images as I can’t decide how I want the final edit to look but will take another look soon as your finished version showed it can be done 🙂
@benharveyphotographyКүн бұрын
Cheers Jim, as someone that has photographed and edited both of those buildings - did I over complicate it? That is the question. I would love to edit the Ghery building with less selections, but I wanted the control between all of the elements. Thanks for sharing the locations once again.

Which image from the shoot was your favourite, and can we see the edit please?
@benharveyphotographyКүн бұрын
That’s a good question. When I first edited them, I picked out my favourites and put them on my website. That may change over time, but I like Domino (because of its simplicity) I quite like Flatiron and the Curvature images. I tend to prefer simple more graphical compositions.
