In pretty sure the creator has said that dipper IS the main character because he's supposed to represent Alex's childhood. You would probably guess dipper was the main character when he did the narration at the start of the first episode

Dipper _literally_ opens the series with his voice-over narration, and it doesn't spoil anything to tell you that he closes out the series the same way. When Dipper and Mabel have separate stories in an episode, Dipper's side has been the "A" story more often than not, but there was no actual _rule_ in the writers' room that Dipper needed to be around or even become aware of a storyline in order for it to be in an episode. For example in _Boyz Crazy_ - which I assume you've seen by now - their stories are completely separate and they do not interact with each other at all.

@PocketMarcy We~e~ell, if you want to get _technical,_ I'd say that a "spoiler" is giving away a plot twist or development that would otherwise have come as a _surprise_ to the audience. 🤓 I'm not sure that the protagonist of a kids' show on the Disney Channel actually _surviving_ for once qualifies as a "surprise". I mean, even people who already knew the original _Little Mermaid_ story weren't exactly surprised that in the Disney version she lives and gets a "Happily Ever After." 😉

About the show's perspective talk in the middle. Without spoiling anything, in a later episode of S2 there is a newspaper showing dipper doing a different offscreen adventure that was not mentioned anywhere else. I believe that most of the show is told from dipper's perspective with some episodes and B plots featuring the other characters.

The only thing I hate about bodyswap episodes, is when the characters just swap voices to showcase they are in different bodies, when in reality if this happened, their voices wouldn't change 'cause that's not how voice boxes work. I love it when shows do this by having the person imitating the character that's suppose to be in their body now, making it more impressive with their voice/acting range.

Agreed. I think it's hilarious when the actor has to do their impersonation of the other character. I'm 99% percent sure that the director/producers make the decision to change voices for the dummies in the audience, ha ha.

While Dipper is the main character, it isn’t mainly from his perspective. So it’s safe to say that scenes focusing on other characters are accurate. Plus, they’ve hinted at other adventures that we didn’t see happen in the show, some of which the Lost Adventures graphic novel revealed.

So no joke, Stan getting stuck to the floor reminded me of something that happened to me as a kid. It started off a normal day but for some reason when I went to go bathe, my shirt wouldn't come off or rather the back was stuck to my skin. No idea why it happened but I had like a small circle of skin that literally felt like it was glued. Long story short, my mom carefully tore the shirt off and it turned out fine. Only the top layers were stuck so it didn't even end up bleeding. Though I do wonder to this day why my shirt stuck to me but I guess I'll never know. XD

I think it's still a show from both of their perspectives (in a limited omniscient kind of way) even though there tends to be more focus on Dipper and he narrates for them, it's not quite fair to say that we aren't also following Mabel's summer adventures just because she's not as into seeking out the supernatural like Dipper is or she's not running into the supernatural as often as Dipper is. I feel that it was just a joke comment about the vampire, since in Boss Mabel, we also didn't see Dipper's adventures in capturing the gremoblin. If it was purely his perspective, wouldn't we have left with Dipper to see him capture it instead of seeing Mabel's experiences in his absence?
