Fawns are so very special in their own rite. That one looks like it was a newborn. The little girl is probably a star child and an empath. Those two are connected in a way that is beyond words. Those little fawns have pure innocence and love. It's so painful to me to know that they are hunted. I understand the reasoning, but deer are really uniquely designed with an unbelievable character. They can touch you and communicate with you unlike anything I've ever experienced. You are such a beautiful woman to see that little girl in the way she shines. She's so beautiful. This is the best video I've seen in a really long time.

I had a surprising moment once while I was desperately sad for my mother. I was visiting her in a care home. She was 84 and in great pain with osteoporosis. She was not going to last long and I was regularly in tears for her. The home had a paddock with a horse. I was leaning on the fence just staring into space, facing the trees where the horse was standing about 80 feet away. It began to walk in my direction, a dead straight line and when It reached me he (or she) slid its huge head down the side of my cheek, without any change in pace and then just stayed there. His head was warm and comforting and this felt completely natural. Eventually I spooked him somehow he and pulled away. I'll never forget that moment and the gift of comfort he gave me.

We lived on a golf course and during a tournament...a deer gave birth on one of the holes...the mother got spooked and ran off..with so many players on the course ...and the fawn..still in the amniotic sac was struggling. Lots of coyotes in the area..and no real solution. We ended up getting a laundry basket...and a blanket and settled her in then took her home for overnight. The fawn was hungry so we got some goat milk and fed her. She took particularly to our 8 year old daughter that stayed with her for hours. The little deer eventually stood out of the basket and when my daughter went to the bathroom...the little fawn would follow her. She actually slept between her legs through the night. The next morning, with the course quiet and calm..we took the little fawn back out there....to the same spot....and sure enough...the mother soon came bursting out of the scrub and the two bounded off together. All together a nice story ..except for all the abuse and chewing out that our girls took from the Club Marshalls and pretty much everyone else at the course. All we know is that every night we hear coyotes close by...and that little baby would not have made it for sure.....people love to criticize but they themselves didn’t do anything...except to repeat that the mother wouldn’t take it back..etc..etc.. Total nonsense....and a persistent old wives tale... It was a happy ending for all...but 10 years later..people at the course still talk about the outrageous thing that the girls did that night.

This little girl is so brilliant and aware of the vulnerability of that baby deer. It is amazing how careful she is, how composed she is at that tender age. Unlike most children, she patiently let the deer come to her and do not rush to pet the deer but simply let the deer do its thing. This speaks volume about the mother and perhaps the father also, who teach her. Mom, your baby is very impressive by its maturity and I can safely say that you are a remarkable mother. I believe there must have been a time in our evolution when we walked peacefully with animals like deer. It seems so natural. Watching this makes me yearn to be somewhere where I can watch animals in their natural environment. I'm a city dweller, but used to go camping. One of the best parts of the experience was seeing the animals. I truly miss that! It's been way too long!

The deer was looking and waiting for her mommy. When she saw the little girl, she seemed to be wondering if the girl is her mommy. What a lovely and innocent moment. Then she seemed to feel like hiding herself in the bush and waiting for her mommy to come back to her.

For anyone concerned about the fawn being touched by the adorable little girl I looked it up because I was curious about that myself. I found this in an artical by the Department of Natural resources I’ve found a deer fawn (baby deer), what should I do? Under most circumstances, the best thing a person can do is to immediately leave the area to avoid creating any additional disturbance near the fawn. On rare occasions, a fawn may approach people or pets. If this occurs, the fawn should be gently coaxed to lay down by pressing on its shoulders as the doe would do to keep the fawn still. The fawn should stay put, providing an opportunity for people and pets to leave the area. The fawn was alone, with no mother protecting it. It is so small and helpless and it doesn’t even move when I approach it. Does it need help? No, the fawn does not need your help. The doe (adult female deer) will rarely be found near her fawn for the first few weeks of its life because her presence may attract predators. The fawn is well camouflaged and has very little odor, which helps it hide from predators. Fawns instinctively lie motionless when approached by a potential predator. This seemingly helpless state is a behavioral adaptation that has helped white-tailed deer survive for ages. Once the fawn grows stronger, it will follow the doe while she forages. It looks hungry, should I feed it? People should never feed anything to a fawn. Fawns have very specific nutritional requirements and improper nutrition will make the fawn sick and may lead to its death. My children touched the fawn and I’m afraid the mother won’t take it back - what should I do? The doe-fawn bond is very strong. A mother deer will not avoid her fawn if there are human or pet odors on it. Fawns are rarely abandoned, except in extreme cases where the fawn has defects which will prevent its survival. The fawn should be placed in or next to natural vegetation near the location where it was found to provide cover and protection. The doe will avoid the area until the disturbance has passed, after which she will search for the missing fawn. If more than 24 hours have passed, the fawn may need attention from a wildlife rehabilitator. Hope that helped put you at ease. ☺✌

Wrong. Deer abandon fawns with human scent on them. The bond IS strong, but it's largely scent-based. Mess up the scent and you break the bond.
