THE DEFINITION OF "PERFECT STORYTELLING" [REVISITING THE FOR HONOR CAMPAIGN]

I think my favorite thing about the campaign is how it ends. I remember beating it on realistic and thinking to myself about how even though you kill Apollyon, the ending still hurts. The scene where the one dude tries to stop the two factions from fighting for a second, before realizing it's useless and joins in because it's his duty really hurt. Despite decapitating the wolf, she still got what she wanted and the For Honor community has been fighting ever since. That's the other thing I really liked about the campaign. I had some 150-200 hours once I finally played the campaign on realistic mode, and how it transitions seamlessly into the multiplayer always really impressed me. You really were supposed to play it first and it's a real shame that doing that as a new player really just doesn't make sense anymore. The For Honor campaign will always be one of my top 3-5 favorite single player experiences ever, which is odd to say because it's totally been forgotten about and it's such a simple mode/story, but in my heart, I know it's true and it really is just that good.

I love the moveset of apollyon in story mode it fits her sooo well

I personally think Warden should’ve been the one to kill Apollyon, it just helps the story come full circle. I get that they were visiting each faction and ended it with the Samurai but the story started with a very good protagonist and should’ve ended it with that same protagonist, not a new one that we were only introduced to in the third part of the story.

I would love that freedom of choice is good, but the only complaint and its a far complaint but raider just would not make sense story wise to fight apollyon.

More realistic this way. Things don't go as people want or expect. It even fits with Apollyon's lessons. Subverting expectations is how to surprise the enemy. If the warden had gone up against Apollyon then he might have played into her hands.

it would be pretty good, but tbh the warden wouldn't be match for apollyon, the orochi was the general's champion and a better fighter

I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing For Honor KZbinrs like Slanderous and Raptor calling attention to how good the campaign story is. You can tell something's good, you can't always put your finger on why you like it and why you think it's genuinely good, but you can feel it.

i just finished chapter 3 on realism difficulty just a little bit ago and posted about how much i enjoyed it on reddit, the final mission and boss was suffering, it was harder than any of the souls game bosses in my opinion. but The Myre's level design when it comes to looks it reminds me of the old Way of the Samurai games a little bit. the mission where you kill the three Dimeo is by far the best mission in the game, but altogether great game ngl.
