The cuban sandwiches I had growing up when visiting Ybor City in Tampa every year were a little different. Not pressed, atleast from La Tropicana which was my fav(sad it closed permanently during covid) and the devil crabs are one of my favorite foods of all time.

My mom came over from Cuba during Pedro Pan, I grew up in Tampa and now live in Miami. The Tampa Cuban sandwich is infinitely better, and it doesn't omit the roasted pork, it only adds salami due to the Italian influence in Ybor.
