It’s more… Jedi showed up on a small Sith Planet of Korriban. Ajunta Pall, one of those Jedi, like the Sith, could use the force. But better. They became the rulers of the Sith usurping the past Sith King. Only on Korriban though. Ziost And Malachor and Elom fell to them slowly in that order. Where the Taung took in anyone, the Sith didn’t take in the Dark Jedi. The Dark Jedi dominated and took their culture and Alchemy.

Its kinda sad how Karen Travis's books got wiped from kanon. The deep insight into mandalorian culture and their value of famliliar bonds was incredible. I really hope that the third season of The Mandalorian includes a mandalorian war camp and a Dha Werda Verda(Not the clone version, but a new one minted on the reconquering of Mandalore).

We'll never see REAL Mando'ad again with Karen Traviss and her work gone. Filoni fucked all that up thinkin' he knew better and making the Mandalorian's follow a leader that uses a lightsaber. The most sacred weapons of a Mando'ad would NEVER be a force users weapon. They prefer STEEL and IRON. Not to mention BLACK lightsabers don't work since Black is the absense of light and a black blade would never be feesable

@@louisduarte8763 we don't really know why kal and vau weren't at the final battle, we can only assume they were on some kind of job or mission. In the old Canon before Disney before the dark times, there were shown to be mandalorians that weren't necessarily part of any larger faction and either lived in smaller city function governments or as individuals or clans living outside of towns/cities in the mandalor wasteland and possibly on other planets. It isn't out of the question for jango to recruit from Independent or ex true mandalorians. And if I remember correctly he hired at least one or two members of death watch which leads me to believe he didn't know about their involvement in the Jedi attacking the true mandalorians, and at that point he didn't really care if they were part of a faction or whether or not they were former enemies he just wanted their skill.

All he did was repainted it as a symbol of him moving on from his life as a Mandalorian since he had no one left and was basically in the run. If he didn’t care about the he’d never stuck to the True Mandalorian codex.

One inconsistency that drives me crazy is that many sources state that the Mandos didn't have other species until the Neo-Crusaders came around, and even state that Neo-Crusaders were all the Mandalorians after the Sith War. What John Jackson Miller did with the Kotor comics and the Saga Edition guide didn't penetrate all articles of Wookiepedia. But there it is explained how for example Canderous, a human, could have been born into Clan Ordo before the Sith War. And introduces Demagol, a Zeltron foundling before the Sith War and Rohlan Dyre, an aging Crusader during the Mandalorian Wars. And there the Blue/Red/Gold armor of the games is explained as belonging to a subculture known as the Neo-Crusaders who only became the majority 3 years before the end of the Mandalorian Wars. Difference is, Crusaders accepted recruits if they proved themselves and could live by the Resol'nare, but the Neo-Crusaders forcefully converted populations. And this is the more recent canon of Legends.

Maybe it refers to Mandalorians as a whole, maybe some clans accepted other species but the majority did not. There a lot of assumptions and inconsistency in Legends because there wasn't a guiding team.

Clan Cadera, Clan Beroya, Clan Notimo and many more are mentioned in the Expanded Universe. Also, forgot one of the most influential clans to ever exist, Clan Lok which led all Mandalorians during the Galactic Wars. Artus Lok aka Mandalore the Vindicated was it's leader. There was also Clan Itera and Kelborn who rebelled against Mandalor the Vindicated alongside Clan Cadera and Ordo. Pretty Important, I reckon.

Another well known Mandolorian clan in Legends was clan cadera. Jicoln Cadera chose the ally the clan with the Republic instead of the Sith. He wanted to his people to follow Mandolore the Preserver’s expample, which to a schism. Clan Cadera was welcomed back by the other clans, but weren’t treated well by members of the other clans. Torian Cadera managed to bring honor back to the clan when he confronted Jicoln on Taris.

The Mandalore is much worse, He went against an army filled with Sith across planets to the star forge alongside Revan and many others, Helped kill Darth Nihilius and his assassins alongside The Exile, Visas Marr and his fellow Mandalorian comrades, he was on that ship where he died, he fought against him.

Clan Ordo has Manda'lor the Preserver and the legacy Mandalore while Vizla only had one Mandalore, Shae. Tor and Pre never became Manda'lor and always had to rely on Jedi or other force users to win their battles.

At 00:28 in and I'm already like: Uh, you do know that most of those Mando Sigils your representing as Clans actually aren't Clan Markings by themselves in this day and age, right? Those actually mean something else entirely and the last one on the right is literally interpreted as being the "open way", symbolizes the act of rebirth as a warrior and the circle of life therein but has been included in some Clan markings that originated From the Crusaders during the Mandalorian Wars whether they be new founding's or a part of a splinter family that broke off from the main clan. So a Mando Clan Marking can Include some of these but very very rarely Just (which would indicate a Very Old Clan indeed) have these markings but tend to include everything from wampa and rancor skulls to your favorite Kal (dagger) which is also where the Mandoa language comes in for unit markings and other special markings or such. It's not Just a case of carrying the Sigils in Mando culture, it's the markings or trophies that go with them that tell everyone who you are and what you represent. Nice listing of the major clans though, now you only have a little under 300 more to go for the currently active list with another couple thousands in the history books for that list as well. Good luck. Truly I do wish you luck on this subject, it's one that has been a long time in coming.....like about 8,000 years worth.

I was pretty sure that was In English, it certainly wasn't Mandoa, the Actual language of Mandalorians and a cornerstone of the Resol'naire (The Ten Resolutions ) which actually Makes you a Mandalorian. So which parts you having problems with? The 8,000 years part (in the SW universe, 5k of which has actually Sort Of been documented) or the under 300 Active current Clans with a couple thousand other historical ones from the past part?

@@generalfreezer681 Mando's do not equal simple, which explains why they are so hard to interview, after all how do historians ask questions of the "heavily armed crowd" without getting shot for "being annoying"? 1st problem: Mando's like their secrecy and tricks plus learn them from a young age from their Buir (father, whoever that may be) which is Mando family tradition. Hence different clans, have different strategies and almost none of them use the same tactics which makes them a wide ranging group tactically speaking. 2nd Problem: You must find them first because they are currently spread across half a galaxy (canonically speaking). 3rd Problem: Most Mando families have as much Myth as Fact (intentionally mixed in) in their stories and legends about their people so the historian attempting to document them might want to Not take No for an answer since us Mando's like it when someone is persistent (but not annoying). They will also need to keep in mind the events they might be trying to track down might have depopulated a sector of the galaxy in general, so be careful what you wish for. 4th Problem: What you learn may actually kill you and any living Mando may not be the one that does it since in Problem number 1 I mentioned Mando's like their tricks, that also applies to traps in mausoleums or crypts as well. And even if you learn it, you may not be able to speak about it since that is completely up to the current Mandalore himself whether you do so or not, even if you survive. Problems 1 thru 4 would be why I told you "good luck" on this subject but to be completely honest it would probably be more rewarding to dig to the center of Coruscant to find the truth and probably less deadly since there will probably be less explosives involved...maybe.

Legends are Star Wars Universe 1, Disney Cannon is Star Wars Universe 2, at least that my preference. That way both sides are Cannon but take place in separate universes. Hopefully they’ll develop a Star Wars Multiverse if they ever do a Star Wars What If series.

@@michaelrobertson4896 as much as i would love to agree that they are separate universes and the like..... i simply cant because of the major ways that the mouse has tryed to change star wars. Im not talking about small things like time line varients or back story changes. Disney has taken it appon themselvs to re invent the wheel and change core structures of the star wars universe and how things operate with no disregaurd to the larger implications. Ima give a couple exsamples and reasonings behind them. 1st the scene with lea superman flying through space. In disney fanon lea declined any training in the force despite being strong in it. And anyone who knows anything about the force knows that if you have the ability to use the force but dont actively train yourself to use it you will loose the ability to use the force or to atleast do anytbing to that degree. Its simply disney magic at work. Next the idea of interdicter systems ( the devices used to track through hyperspace) yeah........ huperspace is literally its OWN dimention. When you jump to hyperspace you are litterally leaving the star wars galexy and jumping into the hyperspace dimention. Now theoretically i supose that the system COULD be used to guess where someone would exit hyperspace however they would not be able to predict where 100% of the time and they would only be able to make said predictions on the heavily mapped hyperspace lanes. And while we are on the supdect of hyperspace..... no... you cant ram a ship by making a split second jump into hyperspace. Ships with hyperdrives all come equipt with several systems that prevent a hyperspace jump if there is anything within a certain distance infront of them. These systems cant be overrode unless you had previously jerry rigged them to do so. So basically the only ships that should be able to jump in and out of hyperspaxe whenever they want would be smuggler vessels. Now if it was the case that ships could jump in and out of hyperspace whenever do you realise what that means?? Literally all wars could be fought that way. Why send people into a fight when you could just load up a few friggates with exsplosives and have a droid autopilot thwm through hyperspace and crash into there targets? And my last exsample of the mouse not knowing what there doing is with kyber crystals....... disney says that all crystals are clear and they adopt the users sitniture....... and the sith..... make them bleed? Tonmake them red??.... no... just no..... for starters one of the inly reasons that illum was a secret world the jedi used for crystals is because it was a masive sorce of naturally occuring green and blue crystals... and the sith allways used artificial crystals as a supiriority move against the jedi. There is also the case of lukes green yellow hue saber. Luke used sith techniques but with the light side instead of the dark to forge his own crystal hence its special color... Ps. Forgive the rampent typos. Typed this on a phone that is way to small for my fat fingers xD

Any thoughts to a future about Mandalore the Uniter? He's honestly a rather intriguing Mand'alor that stands out from others and my friends often compare him to being the Mandalorian version of 'Aragorn'. The song "A Hero Comes Home" fits his story.

This video answered my long time question if any group or people barring the jedi were able to face the sith. Because sure, it's impressive that the mandalorians actually fought a war with the jedi and were often able to face them but the jedi aren't really fighters compared to the sith.
