Every time I watch this I can't stop thinking Warren might be singing to the mic stand. I always find myself hoping he's going to reach out and grab it and pull it a little bit closer to him.

What a dude Pee wee is, such a cosmic glue to the group over the years, he and they are fortunate to have recognised this and had a marvellous life. Reminds me of my youth and a fantastic loyalty to each other.

The original lead singer - Noel Weiderberg - was killed in a car accident on or near General Holmes Drive, not to far from Sydney Airport I think in late 1962. He was replaced by Col Loughnan, who recorded with the group for the next few years. Their first hit with Col was the Lieber/Stoller song - "Come a little bit closer"
