So I’ve come to something of a realization about Kris plugging the tv in. I think Kris noticed that the first world seemed almost designed to help Susie overcome her feelings of isolation and give her friends and plugged the tv in during their soulless escapade. This only got more confirmed when the computer room Dark World was designed to help Noelle become more assertive down to Queen outright being a stand-in for her mother. I think Kris made the Dark Fountain as a cry for help to Susie/Toriel for their situation RE: The player and is going to VERY disappointed to find out that the world imprinted on Toriel instead.

Touching up on the raining part, I have a feeling after the dark world, it's raining and Susie suggests that they go eat at QC's Diner to sit out the rain. And after that, hometown would be a clear day. And they could go to the beach where onion-san is. This would work gameplay wise... About the red death animation, snowgrave may be the first of a category of attacks that are all labeled as fatal. Therefore, instead of the darkners fleeing, the hit is so strong that they just straight up die. Either that or because they don't have sprites for all the characters being crystallized in ice, the red death was the automatic backup put in place of it.

I may be wrong about this but I recall seeing videos of ice shocked enemies that are normally inaccessible on a normal weird route. Either way I’m fairly sure that the death animation isn’t a placeholder since the code for it is also specific towards fatal damage.

Think about this tho Seam warns our party about not being in Dark Worlds at night. Implying something happens when you do Dark Fountains are pure darkness… as is nighttime So theoretically, if you entered a dark fountain at night, the whole WORLD (metaphorically speaking) would become a Dark World! Thus, not only would it make sense for the entire house to be affected by the fountain, but it could also explain the “The Mage Left the party” foreshadowing by Noelle due to neither mage we’ve currently worked with being close enough at least by DWU (Dark World Units) …but for all I know they probably theorized this in a later episode of the podcast, so

Chapter 1's world was in the closet and old classroom meanwhile chapter 2 was in the library's computer lab. At the same if time chapter 3 takes place in the house will it contain all rooms? Are dark worlds limited by walls or how does that work? What if a fountain was created outside?

I think I know what the secret boss would be. Well it's either Mike who would be an Microphone (Mike = Mic) since Tenna is likely to be the main antagonist, or a spider hidden under the TV. All secret bosses were hidden under these kinds of spaces, Jevil under the Card Castle and Spamton NEO under Queen's Mansion. And the white things in the back of the Green Room that Bread thought was wires looks more like spider web. Besides, I have a theory saying that this Dark World will reference the Ruins of Undertale. I mean Deltarune Home has the same vibe as Undertale Home. And we could have all the cast of the characters we meet in the Ruins. Kris as Frisk and Chara, Toriel and Napstablook as themselves, Ralsei and the Flowers in the bin as Flowey/Asriel, and the Spider secret boss as the Spiders from the Spider bake sale. Some people think the flowers will be the secret boss, and it makes sense. It's a discarded item just like Jevil and Spamton are. But I think it'll be a way for the secret boss to reach its secret boss form. After all the machine Spamton used was also a dircarded thing. Likely a drawing of Mettaton Neo that Mettaton made. Maybe with the help of Mad Dummy (aka. Mad Mew Mew in Undertale), explaining the cat element in addition to the strings = cat explananation.

40:42 Definitely looking forward to HalfBread making a video on the unused-but-not-really Darkner death animation, it's one of the most fascinating things in the game to me. My current theory for the TwistedSword is that since it also gives Kris the "Trance" effect like the ThornRing gives Noelle, it will be "Fatal" like SnowGrave is and let you kill enemies. Depending on how things shake out and whether or not you really do need to abort Snowgrave to keep the ThornRing to make the Sword, it could end up being the key to Deltarune's "true ending" if killing the Knight really is the only solution. Especially since the other ingredient is the PureCrystal, which will presumably be made with all the ShadowCrystals. Definitely prime "true ending requirement" material right there to make you fight all the secret bosses.

As for my theory on the secret boss, all the bosses so far have been located underneath something or otherwise hidden in the light world, and bread mentioned possibly a box connected to the TV. Maybe the secret boss is a character from a video game? Dragon Blazers has been mentioned a lot in the Spamton ARG, so I think that maybe you could use some sort of cartridge you find somewhere and enter a small game world to fight the protagonist of Dragon Blazers? It would be cool if the characters all had 8 bit sprites to match, might explain the 8 bit lancer sprite in the "You just got Lancered" page.

38:55 A weird thing that happened in one of my playthroughs is I did a failed Snowgrave by fighting Berdly instead of freezing him. Then I let Noelle keep the Thorn Ring and continued through the neutral route. I spared Spamton so I could fight him later for the puppet scarf. And I didn't recruit anyone. The weird part is when I went to the hospital in the light world I still got the dialogue where Noelle was freezing everything in her game and the hallway dialogue where she tried to assure herself it was all a dream. Even though I aborted the Snowgrave route and Berdly's still alive. I don't think the game was intentionally supposed to act this way and I wonder if this'll affect any flags for future chapters.

Prediction: The roaring happens in the light world at some point & the heroes go to the police station as it's starting, to try to warn Undyne. The darkness knocks on the door & Nappstablook closes the blinds. The heroes then make a dark world in the police station where they can go to recruit darkners to fight the titans & to tell Ralsei what's happening. While there, Kris has to confront Asgore's past as a cop.

im pretty sure the shadow man will come from the ska cds from under asriel's bed; I found this out because when I searched up "ska music" on youtube, a bunch of silhouettes of men popped up on the cover art for each. When I clicked on a few of the ska videos, I saw many commentators talking about their personal experiences with ska, specifically with playing the sax. This ties into the npc playing the sax on the stage :p
