In December 1988, Bob Cranmer and his family moved into 3406 Brownsville Road, Pennsylvania. Almost immediately, a series of strange things happened: furniture moving by itself; mysterious footsteps and knocking in the night; and then, the appearance of a terrifying, hooded Grim Reaper-like figure… Before too long, it was said that a demon had a grip on the house - and all who resided in it. In the end, the happenings reached such a peak that an exorcist was invited to the haunted property. Ultimately, however, only years of battle and endurance of some of the most horrific paranormal activity ever reported would shake the haunting.

I've been emptying my boyfriends flat, it's been hard but we donated his foon to a food bank, his medical supplies are on the way to Ukraine to help others. If you can help others then you've done a great thing. There's people out there that you can talk to about things, you are not alone. Cry when you need to, but always remember the good times. 12:21 wow, once they said he was Ill and home alone I was immediately reminded of a ghost experience I had as a child, and then they went on to describe it almost word for word with some changes. I saw these things, but with the hooded figures approaching my bed side first, so as they were describing the static girl with no face I was like "no no no, no way, if they saw hooded figures too I'm gonna flip" and just lost my mind for a minute. This is so crazy, when I get off work I will come back and reply with the full sorry of what happened to me

I was about 8 years old or living on the top floor of a small apartment building. I had a lot of trouble sleeping in that room, and my parents would often find me on the living room couch, or sometimes I'd even sleep under the coffee table. There was a large parking lot outside my window, so at night the lamps would illuminate my room pretty well. One night I was lying awake just sort of looking around my room, when I noticed motion in my doorway. I was on the top bunk in the opposite corner of the room, and watched as two cloaked and hooded figures entered and approached my bed, tall enough that they could look right at me over the top bunk. I could see through them because they didn't have a solid form, like they were drawn with crayon. TV static is another good way to put it, but I remember distinctly thinking they looked like crayon drawings that were constantly being filled in and scribbled over. For some reason, I wasn't really scared, one was blue and the other purple, and both had blackness in their hoods. One stood right at the edge of my bed and the other remained in the doorway for a few moments before they turned around a left the room. While I do have a very vague memory of voices, I don't remember if they beckoned me or anything but for some reason I climbed down from the top bunk and started following them. Outside my door was a hallway that led right to the living room. As I turned the corner the two tall beings (I had the impression they were men) were gone, but at the end of the hall in the living room in front of the family computer was a little girl, colored red. Where the figures before had blackness for faces, the girl had nothing at all, just the outline of a head and pigtails. I stared at her for a long time, and thinking back on it now I do have this vague vague memory of voices, or of impression, but I know started to feel like I wasn't safe. I passed her, went to one of the living room chairs, and sort of imagined myself in a protective bubble. Curled up on the chair with my head tucked in my arms, I felt like I was on the inside of a tornado and when I would hazard quick glances I could see some.. thing.. swirling around me. Before long I fell asleep, and woke up with the sun in my face, safe on the living room chair.

I met a guy a long time ago who was from Boston. He told me something similar happened to his family at some house they were living in. His parents and brother and sister would get really violent with each other and his mom was cutting herself whenever they were inside the house. When they would leave the house everything was ok. They lasted about 2 months and then moved out. Later his dad went to the local library to do research on the house and found that it was the second oldest house in Boston. He found that 28 families in the last 2 years had moved in and then moved out of the place.

According to him, he and his family had been haunted their entire lives. One story he told me, is that he was spending the night at his girlfriends house. They went to bed and a little while later he said he kept feeling her foot hitting his. He thought she was just messing around until he looked over and saw her gasping for air. So he turned the lights on and shook her. She was finally able to sit up, and she said something had been choking her. They talked about it for a few minutes and went to sleep. A couple of hours later he rolled over and his arm touched hers and her arm was ice cold so he looked at her and her head was turned towards him and she was wide eyes open and smiling from ear to ear. So he jumped up and turned the lights on and she was still staring at him and smiling. So he grabbed her and shook her. She came to and asked him what was wrong. He said, why are you staring at me and smiling? She said what are you talking about i was asleep. He said nope. I am leaving. And he left and drove home. He told me that his grandmother had been a witch, and that when his grandfather was on his deathbed he all told them about her and the evil she had done. But he didnt go into details. I met this guy in 2004 when I was leaving Iraq and had to share a room with him. Never saw him after that.

I grew up in a haunted Victorian house. (Also a mini mansion like this) We actually had to move it and beneath our yard were human remains. The homicide squad had to come in and clear it real quick before they could proceed. This is well known to people who have lived in my city for a long time. The old cemetery had to be moved for new housing at the time and schools to be built. My question is why did the old cemetery need to be moved at all? They couldn’t have built elsewhere? When they moved it tho they didn’t move it well. There’s still bodies left behind and rumors that bodies were disrespected. There’s even gravestones still around the school and even in people’s backyards. They’re so old now tho that they’re illegible. I’ve had quite a few encounters in this house and even a couple outside of it. If anyone is interested let me know.

Thanks so much for making this video! From 2010-2016 I lived in Brentwood, just down the street from that house. Even before I knew what had happened there, that place gave me the creeps when I walked past it at night. There's a large hedgerow along the front of the house, on the Brownsville Rd. side (the house sits on the corner of Brownsville & Sceneridge Ave.). One night when I was walking past, it sounded like a big dog or some other animal was crashing through the hedge, coming towards me. I braced myself...but nothing happened. The sounds just suddenly stopped. I stood there for a minute, but never heard anything else. After finding out about the history of the house, I gathered up some of the leaves from the big oak tree, as the sidewalk was always covered with them in the fall. Unfortunately, I don't have them anymore.

The word daimon translates to spirit in every way and is not particularly supernaturally connoted. It can be the spirit of a conversation, of a place, of anything really. In a religious context it can mean soul. It didn’t mean demon in ancient greek but rather soul or spirit. It did not refer to greek deities or supernatural entities. The word just evolved into that way later after being latinized (when ai was changed to e)

I'm born and raised in Pittsburgh, and still live here going on 60. Mr. Cranmer has always been a good man and outstanding public servant. I am a Master Plumber and have worked on over a dozen residences on this road, although not specifically at this residence. There are many very old houses in this city. I have read two books and watched a documentary about this house. Truly a frightening story. The amount of history in this area, from the Revolutionary War, French and Indian War, and Civil War, (As I am not that far of a drive from Gettysburg.) is a very rich history indeed. Thank you for giving us your fine telling and research of this story. I love your channel and was so thrilled to get the notification of this local story so well known to me. 👍

I will say this. You are a lady of great intestinal fortitude. I have encountered some situations in my 67 years, from encounters with V.C. to creatures I didn't have a clue about in the wilds to (literally) rattling chains at one place I worked and having footfalls running up on me only to turn and have nothing be there. I admit, I spook easily- but I have never turned and run or been scared stupid by any of it. If I do say so myself I have always stood fast. But Lady, I don't see how you can do this being a very obviously intelligent woman of learning. My hat is off to you. I, seriously, would be creeped out. God speed to you and yours.

After having rather bad nightmares or experiencing sleep paralysis I would often see figures made of "static" like referenced here. There was much tragedy in my childhood home. I used to sleep in a room where a young family member died. It is still unknown whether it was accidental or a suicide. She had taken drugs she was allergic to. She had previously been involved with a satanic cult, she was my grandmother. My parents actually met through this group as she was my mother's mother and was married to the leader of the cult, who is also my aunts father but not my mother's. I have had experiences that saw me begging for dawn. Every now and then, very rarely I find remnants of that place in my dreams. The weight, the static, the foreboding, the familiarity of an ancient evil. Praise to God the most high for letting me be where I am today.

true story and still happening : my brother was renting a space in an abandoned yet functioning russian factory a year ago which he made into a car workshop, at late nights you could hear someone banging the aluminum sheet walls with such force that you couldnt mistake it for a cat, rat or bird flapping his wings against the sheet walls.. Once I thought I saw a hanged man in a totally black room with the front wall destroyed, even he described that he often would just end his own work earlier just to not be at that damn place :D, noone believed us until they experienced it themselves, truly a weird experience. He told me that right where the factory is located there was a war with many deaths

“Without darkness, there can’t be light.” After witnessing a similar experience I always thanked God and considered it an affirmation of God’s existence. Many similarities with this story, including, long red scratches on the skin. Banging on walls and doors slamming. Most interestingly, while checking for a possible explanation, a doorbell rang out this rhythmic sort of tune. Only to find out later that the house didn’t have one. (It had one about 7-8 years prior to the renovation, when the house was converted into office space with one apartment on the top floor). That doorbell always stood out as the most unexplainable part of all the events. Everything else could be rationalized (all be it, unconvincingly) away.

So if you are afflicted or buy a property that is, who you gonna call? I've never dealt with this, but I have known some who have. Even protestant ministers have said that when they're stymied over a stubborn case, call the Catholics. I hope none of us ever has to deal with this. Believe as you wish and carry on.

@@josi4251 Did you know that only an ordained priest can perform a Black Mass? Or that every year, the Pope has to deal with numerous cases of priests being caught performing Black Masses? I read this in the book "Pontiff". So as fast as the demons are sent away, the Catholic priests are calling them into existence. The reason the Catholics are better at the job (note I did not say 'the best") is because they have the actual knowledge of how to do it, unlike the "schism" religions. (Which does not consist of screaming Jesus's name over and over.) Actually it's not "Jesus" who sends away the demons; it is Michael the Archangel who does the job.
