nice tuto. Is it a good idea to setup iphone to heic instead of taking a dng picture ? I mean for instance a heic doesn't have same flexibility to modify white balance, restore clipped highlights and shadows,... Do you think one day a raw file will contain depth info ? which camera soft do you use today on your iphone ? i hesitate between apple native one, lightroom one, ON1, Pro camera (my favorite today),... ?

Well if you are shooting with the Portrait mode, you need the heic file for the depth mapping. Outside of that, I normally shoot jpg with my iphone unless I am shooting something more "serious" and I'll then shoot it in RAW. But it is rare I do any "serious" shooting with the iphone even though I have the newest 13Pro Max.
