One of the goofiest parts of this game for me is the fact that the story is practically an alternate timeline of the OG Despicable Me. Instead of Gru stealing the shrink ray to get a loan from the bank of evil he just says "nah, lets just steal the rocket parts instead"

Because the PS2 was still a big moneymaker even as the PS3 and next gen consoles were on the market. The affordability of the PS2 and mass appeal made it very popular in lower income households and foreign markets not to mention it was easy to produce games for due to his lower fidelity. Whenever a game got a Wii port in this era, it was basically a PS2 port with motion controls. Keep in mind that foreign markets were still producing PS2 games well into the PS4 era due to the damn console still making bucks in countries like Brazil.

This was the first game I ever bought. It was back when gamestop gave you your disc in an orange envelope. I love your channel because I have EVERY GAME that you make a video about! Through sheer coincidence, my childhood was all of these games. everything from the astro boy video game to that horrible cat in the hat nightmare. I hope I see more of my old favorites appear on your channel in the future. If I may make a suggestion, try the Narnia PS2 game. It's actually pretty fun. Good luck with the war level near the end though, couldn't even beat it two player with my brother...

The PS2 and Wii were still top sellers world wide at the time of this games release. Places like Brazil didn't have ready access to PS3 consoles without paying a heavy price. This game not being a AAA game had to reach the widest amount of audience possible around the world. That's my theory anyways.

One of my HS mates was really into Minions... She was a super senior, essentially year '13' or around 19 years old. What was strange is that she apparently brought it into her 'relationships' as she believed she could speak fluent minion - Imagine you are an 18-year-old, making out with your girlfriend. She leans and whispers into your ear 'Ba-na-na-na?' She found absolutely no issue with this, and always wondered why her boyfriends broke up with her like a month into their relationships.
