I am now pre washing my car with Gyeon's Foam at a 4% solution in distilled water @ 60 psi through an Ik 12 pro pump sprayer. The results are great, with perfect foam that does an excellent job of cleaning the car before the contact wash. I use Gyeon's Bathe+ for the contact wash with a final distilled water rinse and a blow dry with an Ego electric leaf blower. My cars black finish has had a two-stage paint correction followed by a jeweling polish and a ceramic coating. It shows every little bit of dirt or scratch or swirl, but I've been able to do the maintenance and decontamination washes without adding any more swirls or marks to the clearcoat. I have to say that the Gyeon products are more than doing their part in helping me to maintain the appearance of the car, which gets looks and compliments from many people who see it. Thanks, Yves, for doing these interesting and informative videos on Gyeon products.

I was thinking, restart for a monthly decontamination, with Iron and bathe+. Regular wash could I just use Foam and bathe and ceramic detailer? Do I need all those products or is there ones I can just use weekly with no issues

Great video! Is there any reason why you foam the car dry? I always completely rinse the car first and then apply the foam through the canon. I'm wondering if it's better not to rinse it before? (uncoated car)
@GYEON_official2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how dirty the car is but in general whatever product you dilute with water (what you do when you rinse and water stays on the car), you will make it less effective. The goal of foam is to break down dirt or soften it to make you washing process safer. Of course if your car has plenty of mud on sideskirts or fenders a pre rinse is advisable, let’s call that common sense. Regards, Y.

Gyeon Quartz, in Episode 2, Season 1, Yves advises to first apply Q2M Iron,followed Q2M Tar, before you wash your car (Decontaminate a Coated Car). What's the sequence advised by The Detailing Guru for washing your car: Apply Iron, Tar, then begin the Bug & Grime process? My vehicle is not coated, but it is contaminated. I'd like to know the sequence of steps recommended by Gyeon Quartz for washing your car and using Gyeon products.

In Epsiode 2 we advise the following : - Spray Q²M Iron & Rinse - Wash the vehicle - Spray Q²M Tar & Rinse If you vehicle requires more cleaning power you can do the following steps: - Spray Q²M Iron & rinse - Spray Q²M Bug&Grim & rinse - Q²M Foam & rinse - wash the vehicle - Q²M Tar and rinse

Should we use Q2M Bug&Grime directly on a cold dry car? I think we should first rinse the car heavily and even after that bugs are left then this product can be used. This way less product will be used. Please correct me if I am wrong. Does the spraying method (dry or wet) depend on a coated or uncoated car ?

Top dirt goes to bottom, shouldnt we start from the top? You carry top dirt to the bottom when you reach top. Am I right?
@jalenpambid73334 жыл бұрын
That’s what everyone in the industry says. It made me skeptical too so I keep watching this video and keep thinking which is the right way
@dtail96384 жыл бұрын
There will always be advantages and disadvantages with any procedure but start foaming from bottom to top gives more dwelling time (bottom parts) for your foam where most of the dirt is active. Rinsing afterwards the same way gives you a better visual aspect of removing and having finally rinsed from bottom to top you will have to do a final “random” rinse in the end anyway. Hope this makes sense to you. ✌🏻
@SparkleanAutos4 жыл бұрын
When you're actually contact washing the car, you should go top to bottom and ALWAYS leave the bottom 1/3 until the end - also I'd advise using 3 buckets (one for wheels and 2 wash buckets - my latest video will show you why!) multiple cloths/mitts, different colours if possible so that you're always using the same ones on each section... But when it comes to the pre-wash, like this snow foam process, it doesn't matter which way in terms of dirt running down - as the lubrication on the foam will lift the contamination off the paintwork - but going from bottom to top is better visually and, as has been said, increases the dwell time on the bottom section where most of the contamination is. 👍🏼

So interesting, you literally do everything opposite than any other detailing channel I’ve watched. No brushes Foam a dry car Foam bottom to top Rinse bottom to top Very different. Leaves me confused😂 cause you seem to really know what you’re doing
@GYEON_official3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, thanks for your comment, really appreciate it. Yes I take things different, not for the sake of being different but with a reason, a purpose. Everybody is free to do what they want but using nylon brushes on gloss black wheels is the opposite of detailing. Show can be important but not when it causes more bad then good. Regards, Y.

@@jarkkokokkonen1237 that’s true . but i’m speaking about the end solution that is coming out of my pressure washer . because the pressure washer ads water to the solution also

Ah, got it. Fill the bottle with only water and spray it in a bucket until its empty. You can then see how much water comes out in the same time as the bottle runs empty 👍 it helps to have a bucket with something indicating how much water you have in it.
@jarkkokokkonen12374 жыл бұрын
So lets say You have a one liter foam bottle. Fill it, set the lance to maximum. Spray it to a bucket until the bottle is empty. Now if You have lets say 11 liters of water in the bucket as a result, You'll know the maximum of your lance is 10 liters of water for every liter of foam.

300ml foam to 200ml water is way too much man. Should be using 50ml foam:450ml hot water, and you will have plenty of thick foam. 300ml of foam is a waste of product!

@GYEON_official4 жыл бұрын
It all comes down to your pressure washer/foam lance setup - with this solution we easily can do 3 to 5 cars - no need to empty refill our foam solution for our use. For a single use foam solution, a 1:5 dilution will be plenty enough.
@kotomakosako3 жыл бұрын
That foam will never remove proper road film. None will. You need something much stronger with higher ph. Just saying...
@GYEON_official3 жыл бұрын
Sure, I’m well aware of that. Nothing will remove all road grime. The goal of foam is to remove as much as possible the top layer of dirt and even more importantly to weaken or soften the road film for easier and so safer removal, meaning less pressure or drag needed to take it off. With a higher Ph you are in the danger zone for non professional users. Just saying…😉 Regards, Y.

Have you tried Bilt Hamber Auto Foam or Touchless? You would eat your words if you tried it, it destroys dirt like nothing i have ever seen. And Ph dosen't determinate the aggressiveness of a product, it's the other chemicals in it, their composition and other factors, i have seen products with super high or super low Ph that did not affect the LSP or the paint negatively in any way.
