Not that it isn’t horrifying, but I think the majority of cases where dismemberment occurs is out of sheer self preservation. It’s not something the person had the intent to do originally, even if they planned the murder, it’s done out of necessity to expedite the disposal of the body and make it less likely for the person to be identified and found.

Wouldn't hurt a fly too he said, yet Gemma wore sunglasses to conceal the black eyes he gave her. I'm guessing he was a complete failure who believed he was better than he was, and resented the loved sister who'd been successful enough to be in Eastenders , and probably had hated her for a very long time. Tony murdering Gemma was always going to happen, he just needed a trigger to set him off and an opportunity to conceal it. Gemma deserved better, while he was always a waste of a soul.

He was certainly fixated on her with some kind of emotion ownership. A kind of a reverse if I can’t have you then nobody will. God rest her sole and heal her, what a beautiful sole 🙏

If she was been abused by her brother, all I can say is, you will put up with a lot of abuse from a family member and not press charges as no one wants to admit that their son, daughter,brother, sister, mother or father is abusing them , and they don't want to send them to prison on charges against them as deep down you hope they will change 😕 of course not everyone thinks this way but many do. You must also remember it's your word against them in many cases. Also you must remember 30 years ago the police often didn't do anything when you did report it. Prime example man kicks step child so hard while wearing steel capped work boots that their lower spine was fractured in five places, the stepchild decided this time ive had enough so reported it to the police, while reporting it they were asked really are you sure it was him i dont believe it we drink together every weekend, after saying yes im 100% sure they said well do you really want to report this sounds like it's a clear case that you did something wrong and was rightfully punished, they replied do you truly believe having your spine fractured in five places is a suitable punishment for someone slamming a door too hard, look at my back it's black all the way up to my shoulder blades, I can hardly walk, I can't even bath, dress or look after myself and have to have a friend help me do everything its was my tutors at college who have told me i must report this as a assault after asking what happened and i showed them my back as treatment like this must not go on, the doctors told me a injury like this is usually a result of a very bad car or bike accident they also told me I had to report it so here i am, they said yes as a father has a right to punish a child how they see fit and both the drs and teachers are overreacting. They were not even a child when this happened they were 18, and they demanded they charge him with assault !! However even though the police were very very reluctant they did turn up to talk to the stepdad and the stepdad actually admitted to doing it giving the exact same story as the stepchild, the stepchild even has the paperwork saying yes i did it and i was obviously a little bit more heavy handed this time compared to what i usually do, the stepchild was there when he admitted it to the police and when both him and police officers had a good laugh about it and they told him ok mate I get it just try not to leave any bruises and marks next time as you have gone a little bit too far this time as you have obviously injured her pretty badly since the hospital report says you fractured her spine and they have only seen injuries like this after a serious car or bike accident, but she will recover so dont worry about just dont kick or hit her as hard next time or just hit her where bruises cant be seen and dont cause as much damage after all it doesn't look good on you or your family when people can see the results of the punishment, they turned to the stepchild and said now young lady remember and learn from this, if you didnt slam that door you would never have been punished so its your own stupid fault and you know as well as i do that you deserved the punishment given to you !! The case was then dropped by the police and they arranged to meet up for a drink that night !! The stepchild tried again with a different police department and was told the exact same thing by them too. They now lives a life of chronic back pain, and have done since the day it was injured, which has only got worseover the years and they have been told they will end up in a wheelchairone day but so far has avoided that thanks to a lot of very very strong pain medication, howeverthe medicationis causa whole list of other serious problems. This of course aldo left them thinking what's the point in telling the police when they do nothing and just tell you it was your fault 🙄.

Yes, and I was wondering how he ended up living in her house knowing what kind of a person he is (I presume it was hers if she was able to kick him out?). Did he play on her kind and generous nature, giving her some sob story about how he had nowhere else to live? Making her feel as though it'd be all her fault if he ended up living on the streets? I'm sure it didn't take long after he'd got his feet under the table for him to resort to his shitty behaviour and her to bitterly regret letting him move in.
@LadyAstarionAncunin

I doubt it was even that sporadic considering he wasn't trying to make anything of his life, was always high, and there was the constant stress and strain of a sick mother. Seems like there would have been endless "opportunities" for an addicted bum to pop off on someone doing the actual work and someone who was weak and sick. He terrorized his family and, like any abuser, finally took the life of the person he abused.

I remember this happening and every news story described her along the lines of “Former Eastenders Actress Gemma McCluskie….”, despite her role having been very short and over a decade previous. It felt like the media only really picked up on the story because it happened to be headline worthy. This video even says “the journalist’s ears pricked up when she heard she used to be on Eastenders”. RIP Gemma, it’s horrifying that your own brother could do this. I could never lay a finger on my siblings and cannot comprehend how someone could.

Once they take it so far as *dismemberment* of the body, an unforgivable line has been crossed (Becky Watts) and any leniency is lost. Death in prison... however it may come.

Is it really so important what they do _after_ they've murdered the person? Seems like a fairly unimportant detail.
@kennywilkinson913
@kennywilkinson913 2 жыл бұрын
@@eadweard. I think we all can agree murder is crossing a line but there are many forms of murder. Some of passion, some out of pure evil, some can even be by accident but I think we also can agree that taking someone apart, showing no respect in life or death for whatever reason is crossing a further line and one that cannot be understood let alone justified. For example, can one justify a father taking the life of someone whom killed or sexually assaulted their child? Probably not but it can be understood. If that same father was to chop the person up as well things would be different
@lifesquandered
@lifesquandered 2 жыл бұрын
@@eadweard. I'm atheist, so this isnt a religious thing, but the dismemberment is very relevant. Imagine being a parent who found out your son had murdered your daughter. Now imagine finding out he had cut her up and disposed of her remains like trash. Seems like the murder would be bad enough, but the dismemberment would add to the devastation. They had to postpone the funeral until all of her body parts were found. Imagine sitting there waiting for your child's head for be found. You have the rest of her, but not her head. Your son knows where it is, but he's pretending not to. The dismemberment is definitely adding insult to injury in the worst way. I don't believe there's a soul, or that the body is in any way relevant to the victim after death, but it's very relevant to the family members.
@eadweard.
@eadweard. 2 жыл бұрын
@@lifesquandered That is all true and sensible, but the OP said that dismemberment means that "an unforgivable line has been crossed" - as if the murder itself was forgivable, and didn't cross a line.
@Elena-tq9vs
@Elena-tq9vs Жыл бұрын
@@eadweard. - murder is unforgiveable in itself, but I can kind of see how it sometimes happens - people high on drugs and in a blind rage could have beaten somebody about the head a few times and that killed them. Heat of the moment, they didn't stop to think etc etc. Going through all the effort of mutilating their body and watching the family members in pain, knowing that people out in the street might find those parts... that's a whole different type of unforgiveable.
