Edit: Pretty sure this video is cursed. Even this edited version has been by so many copyright claims and I've had to edit even more out, but since I don't want to upload it a third time and youtube's editing features are awful there's just some weird cuts now. Shoutout to BBC for claiming all the revenue because I included a 15 second clip of Doctor Who lmao This is a reupload because the original was hit with two copyright claims, one for the song used in the intro and another for showing 15 seconds of Dr Who. Unfortunately the Intro is gone now since I'd have to entirely recreate it for a different song, but on the plus side the sponsored ad is cut out too. A few notes about mistakes/oversights in this video. The Toaster is more significantly based off of the Red Dwarf TV show, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest was actually directed by Milos Forman and you can reach the dead Followers doctor by jumping up against some of the geometry around the Think Tank, but I don't think that was intentional. You were probably going to have the option to remove the forcefield and jump down, but the invisible wall around the Balcony stops you, suggesting it was added in later on by someone who didn't know the prop was down there.

5:13 I have questions, like why couldn't they still have Yes Man as a companion? It's not like he needs his own personal quest. I assume it's due to scripting shenanigans? Victor as companion would be kinda OP and I guess same goes to Yes Man. Besides these two and Vulpes, I don't see how any other vanilla characters could work as companions. Maybe Sunny Smiles to give Charisma reliant characters a companion so Charisma 10 isn't useless? But man the fact that OWB has NO permanent companion inside the DLC is travesty, the dlc almost feels more horrory/lonely then DM or more lonely then fricking Lonesome Road just because it's the only DLC with no companion(besides Roxy who is only allowed to follow you in ONE building) Seriously I would totally be fine if Roxy was full on companion of OWB, just give us tons of upgrades that Rex in vanilla fallout can later use and I'm satisfied but as of now, OWB having no companions sucks

GO find God or help other find there's and save some HONEST HEARTS along the way. 4. Getting a lil closure about Elijah and Christine. FINALLY Hearing Ulysses talk about OLD WORLD BLUES. 5. Walk a LONESOME ROAD (but not really EDE FTW) and nuke both the NCR and Legion and go walk down the I-15 and Dry Wells 6. Secure the bag for Mr. House. Or become patriotic and Help the NCR. 7.REPEAT..
@greenaum Жыл бұрын
Old World Blues is worth doing early, because once you've upgraded a couple of the whatever-tron personalities, they turn junk into everything you need to make weapon repair kits. With repair kits, you can take 10 knackered weapons, and instead of combining them into 1 that works, you fix all 10 and sell them for tons of money. Only thing missing is a wrench, so I obsessively keep my eyes open for them during gameplay. You also get some nice perks from playing OWB, and it's easy enough to do at a lower level. Money-wise, you're only limited by how often the vendors refill with money. Whoever's got a few grand, you take some of your stash over, and trade out all their caps. You end up waiting for them to refill while you're doing other quests. You can spend the money, incidentally, on mods from that doctor who has all sorts of bionic implants for you. Then after THAT, Lonesome Road opens up the vending machines which have infinite caps! From then on in, you have infinite caps yourself, more or less. At that point, too, it just takes a wander round The Divide to gather up enough crap to sell to the vend-o-trons, the Marked Men carry some pretty expensive stuff. They all fall to the game's biggest cheat, the 12.7mm machine gun. This thing takes down anything! Get the exp to use it properly (it needs 100) and you're the deadliest thing on the continent! You might pick up the exp during OWB, though you'll also want to put some into melee weapons, since the level is very short of gunpowder-based ammo, and it's not great for energy ammo either. Fortunately there's that enormous axe over there, that you can repair with the many little throwing axes hanging around. Then swing-swing-swing and down go the scorpions and everyone else. Then eventually you get to warp back to the Mojave again and can go get some ammo for the machine gun.

A breif peek at the GECK tells otherwise, the dead follower on the roof was placed there purposefully and not by mistake. It's literally some other poor schlep that wandered in like you did, and likely missed the teleporter by a bit leading to a fall. The lobotomites frustrate me with their absurd detection, ghost people are just as terrible, both need a tweak to have one perception as they currently have zero which leads to problems with math and detection code. It also reminds me of "Talkie Toaster" from Red Dwarf...

Could you possibly put together a new cut content modding guide video if there are any updates since the one you put out 3years ago

I thought the spore carriers and plants from Vault 22 were created in Vault 22 or given to vault 22 by Vault-Tech.

I feel like the toaster from Fallout 2 might've been a reference to Red Dwarf. In the 1st season Lister has a toaster that only cares about convincing people to have toaster or other heated bread products. He appears in a later season as well & has the same deal but lister gives a wonderful speech about how he doesn't want toast or anything like that not now nor ever. He likely says this as all he lives off of is curries, Popadoons & the odd spacewevel. Edit I see your comment mentions it but didn't notice it due to it oddly not being pinned as usual.

The X being used in the naming scheme may have been from the old radio show X minus 1

I would guess that either the vision perk for the stealth suit was too similar in use to boones companion perk, or identically the same.

So does this upload make you money? Lord knows you deserve it for all the work put into this video.

That would be really cool if the stealth suit had the wrist blades and changed your punches to a bladed weapon

I often wonder was the Toaster a Red Dwarf reference I don't see it mentioned anywhere. I was re-watching S01, Ep2 has a Toaster just makes me wonder.

Pretty sure it is a partial reference to that as well as F2's EPA

Whenever there's a game with a limited budget/time constraints/both, why is Jace Hall always involved? 😢 lol

The toaster is a reference mostly to Red Dwarf, a British sitcom.

I watched the Vtuber Vesper Noir play this DLC which brought back a lot of fond memories of OWB.

Muggy is the best character in all the fallout games. I will very poorly defend this claim.

I just played a run of a retarded courier with intelligence 2 in OWB and the bad ending would have been so much fun and apropo, specially because i have post ending game mods that add content dependant of the endings o got, i can imagine a version of that mod where the entirety of the Mohave has all of the owb perils, everyone being hostile to the courier because he/she is the BIG Mt head
