Agreed. There's a video on KZbin I love that says it's Andi's friends, not Andi, who are the problem. They love when she gets them stuff, but she gets seen getting kissed by the one guy and her "friend"won't give her the benefit of the doubt. Her boyfriend gets mad when she misses one birthday when a difficult job might make you miss multiple birthdays and they should be understanding .

Agree! I think the reason that the phone scene annoyed me so much is that they are basically mocking the very job that allowed her to give them thousands of dollar's gifts. It's not just insensitive, it's ungrateful and rude!

I think it would have been *totally* appropriate for her to take the meeting instead of trying to rush off to catch the end of her boyfriend’s birthday. Unless you are a toddler, there’s *no* valid excuse for not being ok with celebrating you bday with your girlfriend in the midnight hour or the next day. Especially when you consider what *he* wanted for *his* career. He was legit trying to be a top chef in… New York fn City! Do you have any idea how grueling that is? How your bosses/head chefs treat you and talk to you? Trust me it’s way worse than any treatment Andy was receiving from Miranda. Not to mention that you are constantly working crazy long hours. There absolutely *without a doubt* was going to be things important to her that he would miss and it would only get worse the higher you climb the chef ranks. So him constantly judging her and trying to make her feel bad about her job was absolutely obnoxious and unfair. Why is it it’s ok for a man to fully immerse in his career without being questioned but ppl guilt women about it? The audacity…

One story I love about this movie is how John Krasinski saw it and immediately fell for Emily Blunt(they are now married). Andi's friends are super dickish. A review on KZbin describes it better than me, but them giving her crap, taking the gifts she gives, stealing her phone when she is trying to be professional and then Nate getting pissy when she couldn't come to his birthday because of work just made me dislike him. Miranda's line "Why is no one reeeeaaaadddyyy ....?"and "This STUFF?"gives me anxiety every time. "You noticed! I have this new diet where I don't eat anything and when I feel like I'm about to faint, I eat a cube of cheese!" XD Miranda is such a well written character. Her reasons for being so hardcore is revealed in the scene where she is bare of makeup and talks about her daughters having to be put through the wringer after her latest divorce. Even her reason for being so adamant on getting her home during a hurricane is clear when she reveals she had wanted to see her daughter's recital. Always love that ending with her happy smile, then her annoyed "GO."to the driver, lol!

I think that the root of Andie's problems with her boyfriend/friends is that they think they are "too good" for the fashion world, and don't respect as a industry at all (but they like the benefits, like we saw with the presents). That's why Andy struggles to accept who she's becoming and tries to hide it, and that's why everyone is always praying on the "old Andie".

I love this movie so so much. I hated the way her boyfriend acted. Like you said she has probably been there for him at every waking moment. He needs to be more compromising. Even if I decided to focus just on journalism I would no longer be interested in him. He doesn't handle change well. And I didn't like his verbal jabs. I've never been a big fan of being unnecessarily hard or difficult with people. If we can't come to a compromise, we need to move on. So glad you enjoyed this!!

I love this movie. Meryl is AMAZING!! Stanley Tucci was perfection. The character Miranda is supposedly loosely based on the Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The author who wrote TDWP was her personal assistant for a year. Also Helen Mirren was considered for the part of Miranda but of course we see who got it! 😁

I think you would very much like the movie Bedazzled (2000), with Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, directed by Harold Ramis (Groundhog Day). Elizabeth Hurley plays the devil and Brendon Fraser plays a sad sack that she gives seven wishes in exchange for his soul. It's a very funny and heartfelt movie. Highly recommend. A couple things: 1-This is one of my favorite movies of all time. So, thank you for reacting to it! 2-Energy is REAL. I normally skip intros and go right into the reaction, which is what I did here. However, I noticed that you looked a bit sad and despondent. Even though you were laughing at certain scenes, I could tell something was up. So, I decided to go back and watch the intro. That sucks what KZbin did to your monetization. Sorry that happened. I hope everything works out. I saw on another channel that their monetization all of a sudden was cut out, shortly after, they attended a content creators event where a rep from KZbin was going to be in attendance, they asked them about it, and showed them their history and the change of monetization, and the rep said it was a glitch, and I believe the rep looked further into it for the creators, and it has since been corrected - but I supposed if there is a violation of some sort, perhaps they can demonetize...?

It might help you to hear that this has happened to at least a dozen other channels I watch, and they've all been successfully reinstated after appealing. Not sure of the exact process, but I'm sure if you reach out to fellow content providers, they can guide you. It's so galling, and seems to be completely random and arbitrary bullying on YT's part. I once watched Mythology Guy literally cry for thirty minutes. He has a million subscribers, so it was a real hit financially. And just last month they did it to a sweet young British couple two days before their wedding. Really classy YT. (But like the others, they resolved their issues ten days later.) I don't understand this bizarre hazing at all.

I think Andy's boyfriend & her friends were hypocritical & overly critical at different points of the movie. I also think that Nate was becoming a bit jealous of Andy's success at her job. Considering that he was unemployed for half of the movie. Andy was in fact changing, for the better in my opinion. That's what naturally happens to people when you explore or are exposed to different things. I think if Andy had simply acknowledged that she was changing she would've been able to defend herself better against the criticisms from her friends. I really disliked that Andy went back to Nate. He wasn't a good bf.

God works in mysterious ways. I had a stressful day myself today. You mentioned your stress as well. Interestingly that's what this whole movie is about, how to navigate through stressful people and stressful jobs and the choices we make along the way. Miranda comments about how Andy had choices all along the way as does her boyfriend. She said she didn't have a choice, but regardless of what the devil or a devil-like being may tempt us with or put as a speed-bump, we always have a choice in what we will do. This is the perfect movie to watch after a stressful day, just don't give in to the Miranda (whoever or whatever that may be) and you'll be a lot happier.

Just like two other commenters have said….this sudden demonetization has happened to a few content creators as well and they were able to make their case and got paid again for their content. Please don’t get discouraged. Reach out to other content creators and see what happened and find out the process for appeal. You need to get paid for the work you put into your channel. Without content creators, where would KZbin be in general? I, too, enjoy your reviews and the insights you have both on the movie and in life. I hope that this gets resolved soon. Good luck.
