Think I need to try and move away from social media. It's nice in a way connecting to old friends you don't see no more from school but it can have a negative impact. I remember hearing about a study I believe using school kids. They found kids with social media had more anxiety and depression. I blame the fact that people use it in a way of showing off their status and others begin to compare themselves to them. Best just to be in contact with family and friends and not compare yourselves to others ameen

Things on instagram and facebook are not meant for work they are meant for timepass, atleast I never found something useful other than connecting people. But unfortunately the moto of connecting people has left far behind for material needs. Honestly I am not against these apps. Cause controlled use is key to harvesting +ve things from them. But as common result ,addiction prevails over productive use. A advice for everyone try living without these things for a day then alternate then 2 day. It wasnt easy for me but now it feels good. Many a times solitariness can give pleasures that virtual extrovertness can never give.

Straight facts! I am just another teenager who had his life destroyed for a long time because of social media, but alhamdullilah Allah saved me. Tip for teens out there: 1) DO NOT GOSSIP ON SOCIALS (Don't gossip at all lol) ! It will come back to you, even the people you may trust the most may screenshot it and get you in problems, and of course it is a terrible sin 2) DO NOT BE JEALOUS OF OTHERS POSTS! Stop watching other guys expensive clothes, or other girls looks, you will feel like you yourself are not worthy enough and will think you must look attractive or have expensive clothes to fit in, THIS IS NOT TRUE! EVERYONE IS JUST AS VALIDATED AS EACHOTHER REGARDLESS OF LOOKS! 3)Do not be someone your not on social media, even if it is unintentionally, try your best to be as humble and not involved in drama. 4) If you are in drama, give it some time and literally everyone will forget about it, no one will care about that fight you got in or whatever the drama or rumor about you is 2 weeks later inshallah. Don't be sad about it, pray for guidance, and understand you will be rewarded by Allah for your pains. Social media will only get you haters, us teens are the future Muslims, we don't want to be of the munafiqeen (hypocrites) on the day of judgement. Let us become the best muslims possible I promise you guys Allah's wisdom is the wisest, so follow the Quran and you will have better success than what any social media will do for you.

There’s temptation everywhere. Electronic devices, the internet, just got added to the list. How we handle it is what makes the difference. We all know right from wrong. My mum was always complaining my dad was reading books and the newspaper too much. Now she complains he’s on the iPad too much. Same situation different tech lol. Think of The National Enquirer and gossip magazines. People were buying and subscribing to those long before it became popular online.

As a computer science student, potential developer, i gotta say this video really taught me something. But we can't change our world. It's already late. And the world is evolving yet. Don’t worry my brothers and sisters, when our beloved prophet (pbuh) was on his death bed he said: Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “I have left you with two matters which will never lead you astray, as long as you hold to them: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of his Prophet.” Source: al-Muwaṭṭa’ 1661 Grade: Sahih (authentic) . Salam alaykom. Try to earn the amazing room that can be done during Ramadan in Shaa Allah for the sake of Allah. This can be our last Ramadan, we never know. Abdallah Ibn 'Amr (RA) narrated that the Prophet (Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said :"There is a room in Paradise whose outside is seen from its inside and whose inside is visible from its outside." So Abou Malk Al Ach'ari (MA) asked :"For whom is it, O Messenger of Allah?". He (Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) said :"These rooms will belong to the ones who speak good words, feed the poor, they fast and pray at night when people are at sleep." [ Reported by Tabarani and authenticated by Shaykh Albani in Sahih Targhib No. 617 ] PS : These 4 conditions can be done during Ramadan since we have to fast, speak good, feed the poor and pray at night when people are asleep (after Taraweeh for example). So let's all strive for this amazing reward.

Even I had the same problem, one thing that helped me was to memorize the meaning of the various surahs and supplications that u recite duirng u r prayer. Because u just keep on reciting it on u r lips where as u r heart doesn't know what u r reading. So there's no impact of it on u r heart and mind. Once u know the meaning u tend to concentrate more on what u r reading and keep pondering instead of having various other thoughts. Hope this will be helpful to u and others as well.

Ways to achieve good ending in dunya; 1) Uttering the Shaahadah (testimony of faith) when dying. 2) Dying with sweat on the forehead. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; “The believer dies with sweat on his forehead.” 3) Dying on the night or day of Friday. 4) Dying as a fighter for the sake of Allah The Almighty. 5) Dying of the plague. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; “The plague is martyrdom for every Muslim”. 6) Dying of a stomach disease. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; “… and whoever dies of a stomach disease is a martyr”. 7) Dying by being crushed by a falling wall or by drowning. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; "The martyrs are five: the one who dies of plague, the one who dies of a stomach disease, the one who drowns, the one who is crushed by a falling wall, and the one who is martyred for the sake of Allaah”. 8) Dying in childbirth or pregnancy. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; “A woman who is killed by the child in her womb attains martyrdom, and her child will drag her by his umbilical cord to Paradise.” and “A woman who dies with child is a martyr". 9) Death caused by burning, pleurisy and tuberculosis. 10) Dying to defend one’s religion, one’s wealth or one’s life. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; “Whoever is killed defending his wealth is a martyr; whoever is killed defending his religion is a martyr; whoever is killed in self-defence is a martyr". 11) Dying guarding the borders of Islam for the sake of Allah The Almighty. It is reported that Prophet Muhammed (SAWS) said; "Guarding the borders of Islam for one day and one night is better than fasting and praying at night for a whole month, and if he dies (whist performing this duty), he will go on receiving the reward for this great deed and his provision (continually), and he will be spared the questioning in the grave. ” 12) Dying whilst doing a righteous deed.

I've had a KZbin addiction since I was a kid. Anywhere from funny videos to learning cool stuff around the world. I switched to Myspace and now FB to keep up on the social Indigma of my peers and family and that's about all I do. I use KZbin where I can control what I watch and search for information that I want to engage in. Not mindlessly scrolling being programmed by their info or ads. Occasionally I catch myself scrolling through FB or IG. But just to keep up with friends and family posts. But it turns into scrolling through news outlets or the devils program

Social media can be an addiction sometimes, ive deleted my accounts several times for a detox . I dont try to do too much, i am guilty of selfies every now and then, maybe a rant or 2, just because. Im not trippin if someone judge me for it imma live my life but other then that social media is a good way to see whats happening in the world and read what people are experiencing whether their popular or not. Its also a good way to make money if you want to get down to it. Its alot of things i disagree with, with social media and thats the degrading part of it, seeing people get degraded sucks sometimes and also seeing how the world works when it comes to politics and all. Nothing man made will be all the way good and thats how i view it, at most. This video still had some good points to where ill use social media the best way i can .
