What developers don’t seem to understand is that having extra item slots enables those classes to have many more aspects, affixes, and tempering additions than others can have. This significantly buffs those classes while significantly limiting the classes who don’t have extra item slots. Increasing damage in some classes and decreasing it in others isn’t going to make up for the difference between having extra aspects, affixes, and tempering additions from having additional item slots. There is no reason they can’t give every character class the same number of item slots. It’s like none of the developers have ever read a fantasy book. Sorcerers are insanely powerful and can use multiple weapon types and have them available to them at the same time in most books. They don’t typically use bows or bludgeoning weapons, but many use staffs, wands, daggers, swords, and sources (focus) and have all of them on their person at once. There is no reason sorcs in D4 can’t have an arsenal like barbs do. They don’t necessarily need to have the same arsenal skill setup, but the developers are just utterly ridiculous in their presentation of the sorc class and how much more they think a barbarian would outclass literally every other class of combatant. It’s time for all of the classes to have the same number of item slots.

The developers do understand that Barb's weapons are an issue, they just arent ready yet to 100% rework Barb to have less weapons, yet. And yes you could easily make barb the weakest class with 10 weapons, just make their skills and paragons (things that are also unique to them) incredibly weak.

Well in Diablo 2 before lod classes had rolls unique to them necros amp and bone wall to corpse explod the screen Sorcs had telek and tele port to taxi barbs and pallys barbs were buff bots for big hp and def pallys had hammers to kill shit easy everyone got a boner in cows with a Java zon in d4 everything jsut feels the same.. no immunities no incentive to play with ppl no real hoops to jump through jsut big damage this aoe this single target zoom zoom bs there is no game to the game and it’s fun for 3 days at the start of a season then it jsut falls off everyone lvl 100 in a day or 2 the monsters scale with you shit jsut sucks asss wouldn’t it be cool if Sorcs could enchant ur friends with a shit road of fire damage that also apply some burning and druids had a bear to tank and roar to boost def and mana regen and barbs could shout battle orders to give everyone 30% more hp there is like no team synergy between fuckn cool to have a pally lower bad guys resistance and blind shit with a holy shield spell rogues could be just blasting with dps same with necros and minions d4 is not the Diablo game I was hoping for

no you cant. the change is pretty useless. ice blades is capped at either 6 or 7 active blades at a time... and the cooldown was already ridiculously short with talent and enchantment. only thing it is going to be better for is spamming lightning spears..

Good, that they finally trying to equal classes because let's be real... Barb with Gushing Wounds was the most broken PassiveKey in this whole game. I would prefer to see more slots for Necro, Druid, and Sorc for more variety of possible builds but buffs are more than welcome. Are these buffs enough? I have my doubts. They didn't touch PassiveKeys for other classes like Sorc and these Passives just suck. But let's wait...

In the excel you mentioned core Stat buffs for sorcs and rogues as 25% and 11% which I believe are bases on 2000 core Stat. But counting in the Base 100% damage, the buff equals to about 17% for sorcs and 7% respectively instead of 25% and 11%. Thank you for the video!

Haha, Fractured Winterglass change is kind of funny. Even more button pressing, not complaining though with that you can get to 30+ conjuration count easily with lightning spear. Very good sorc changes over all. Soo good.

I think I'll start with the sorc for s5. I'm cautiously optimistic, but yeah s4 they were def disappointing. I wanna do either a CL or Charged bolt build. Should be fun! Also, I LOVE how powerful the new updated uniques are, but mostly because the ranges are so crazy. They'll be competitive with legendaries, but perfect uniques can now be even better in some cases. CANT WAIT!!!!

They nerfed the class dealing the most damage so idk how this makes numbers go crazy. Barbs were doing 100bil with bleds and were nerfed by like 30x. The highest numbers we will probably get are 8bil from bone spirit necro which is a one hit every few seconds build. DPS is probably like 2bil.

I find it for a lack of words strange that people are calling for nerfs and cheering for the nerfs that are being thrown at barbarian in a mostly pve game. Yes it has pvp but it is such a small part of the game, it is about the size of division 2s pvp. So basically people are happy and even calling for more nerfs to a class that is fighting at the side in pve.. and before it's said about the one shot builds is brought up I have seen a build for almost every class one shooting uber lilith. So I'm confused why are people happy about nerfs to a class that already was depending on gear for a large part instead of wanting just the other classes being buffed up to barb level?

I think that there's this misconception that D4 is a 'PvE' game and therefore balancing doesn't matter. If one class/build is significantly and consistently better than others than the lower tier specs then it is going to feel bad. And yes every class has had a 'one-shot' Uber Lilith, the major difference is that Barbs consistently have the sameish builds one shotting where other classes, like Sorc, have those builds nuked such as Control Aspect getting annihilated or Ball Lightning getting shanked or Hydra not even making it to launch. This is a good topic though and perhaps I should do a video about why balancing matters in a 'PvE' ARPG.

I started as a Barb Main, I have 2 100 Barbs this season and 6 total. I am a Barb enjoyer and fan. All that said Barb is an unhealthy outlier for the game. They have too many weapons and too much power is coming from Main Stat, its one of the few damage multis that Barb and Rogue have direct access to over all the other classes. Their Key Passives also drastically outpace every other classes. This patch is really just about trying to bring other classes up to decent while bringing Barb down from insanity. When they nerfed the way overtuned Ball Lightning I got over it, even though its my favorite build and Ive played it every season from 0-4. Don't wreck yourself by wrapping your self image around some game's class balance.
