I searched for this episode for a weird reason. It's late, almost 4 am, and I heard a noise in the living room that reminded me of this episode. It turned out to be my husband's cell, indicating it had 2% of phone charge left until it turned off. I couldn't remember the whole episode, so I had to watch it and make sure this was the show with the sound that came to mind right away when I heard it. Lol I'm going back to bed now. Goodnight 😅

Season Five was filmed during 1966. That year, Russia landed a space ship on the moon. Meanwhile, a rash of space ship sightings were reported. Alien abductions were reported in the tabloid news. The space-race era inspired television writers to cash in on the national "Space Craze." The "Uhny Uftz" episode is a hilarious take-off of its time.

Always my favorite episode. I’ve looked for a long time, but never spelled Onni offs quite right. It’s almost Christmas and I remembered this as more Christmassy so I had to see it again. This time I used key words instead and here it is! Thanks a million! And “Uhny Ufts!”

I think this episode explains my slight fear of water coolers as an adult 😆. Favorite series ever. EeeeYIKES tho- I have a clear memory of hearing that line as a little girl in the 70's, "Oh, is there a MAN scientist there?" And it went right from confused, to sad, to normal in an instant that women can't be a smart as men. Ah, thank God the times are changing....
@brigitteking969 Жыл бұрын
@SE Yes, that crack of Rob's -- asking for a man scientist (a competent scientist) is a real sour note. The times had that common point of view, which woman have had to often work twice as hard to counteract.
@CamilleGG451 Жыл бұрын
@@brigitteking969 Yep- that constant annoyance and mental pain was exhausting and ridiculous. Thank goodness men and women are working together like grown-ups now (for the most part).
@cbpaddingtonbear26064 ай бұрын
I don't think the line is about sexism as it is Rob thinking if he talked to someone man to man he'd be understood better when in reality his whole thing is crazy. Regardless Rob isn't intended to come across well for the comment.

Does anyone else remember those cups from which Buddy and Sally are drinking at ~3:50? The cups had a hard plastic outer shell with a softer plastic inner cup. (Tupperware, perhaps?) My mother had a metallic-red set with a white inner cup area. They were part of the 'Plastics Revolution' of the '60s; From the 1960s onwards, polymer science made progress in nearly all industrial pursuits.

@@luvluvluvluvcats Bless your heart! My mother was also the collector of our treasured family heirlooms from the '20s to the '70s. My brothers and I were looking forward to sharing them with our children. Sadly, instead of all of us sharing in those treasures, as stipulated in our mother's will, my sister took it upon herself to confiscate them for herself, only to sell them to the highest bidder. 😲Oh well, can't win them all. Nothing against the good folks who purchased those items, but It breaks my heart to see all those family treasures going to strangers. I hope they enjoy them as much as we did. Whoever you are, wherever you are, i want you to know that even though your depressed, stressed grieving, whatever you may be going through, God is watching over you with love. So much love and care for you. Psalm 34:18 “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. ” God loves you so much that He sent His son Jesus, who He loves, to die a horrible death, taking our punishment, setting us free from hell which we deserve, and allowing us to have a relationship with God. John 3.16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, so that whoever believes in Him, will never die but have everlasting life. We can go to heaven. Eternal beauty and paradise with God, if we trust in Jesus's death and resurrection. Pray. Ask Him for help Psalm 145:18 God is near to all those that pray to him, to all that pray to him honestly. He loves to hear people honestly pray to Him (conversation with God) and will never turn a truthful prayer away. Pray. Confess your sins and ask for forgiveness and a new life. He will answer. We all deserve hell. But God has made a way out for us through Jesus's death and resurrection. I love you but God loves you so so so much more. Its indescribable how much He loves us despite all our sins and wrongdoings. Pray❤
