I remember seeing lots of awkward Facts of Life sitcom treatments from 65 to 75....most as silly as this to let the writer dance around it with a opening setup, off camera cut, vague conclusion sequence without addressing it. In the New Dick Van Dyke Show, Reiner (early 70s) wrote an episode where their daughter (12 I think) walked in on he and Hope Lang having sex. CBS threw a fit, and Carl Reiner quit the production.

30 students in a class of 3rd graders to one teacher was accurate for the time....yet they graduated 9 years later more confident and competent. Teachers also dressed like the actress here too, even in public school.

@@xxwhispersxx2856 nothing wrong with khakis and a top, but in 1962 that was far too casual for the office or any profession like teaching. That was considered picnic Saturday wear in the era, especially in a NYC satellite community on Long Island.

My mother told me people "rub together"to have a baby. 🤣 I laugh now, but please just tell a kid the truth. For a long time I thought a boy just rubbing up against me would cause me to have a baby. My mother was a June Cleaver type and too embarrassed by the truth.

My ranch raised mother just pointed to the cow pasture and said “The bull giving the cow a piggy back ride is making a baby calf. Same with humans…” Needless to say I thought wheelbarrow style was the only way to make a baby.

Not everyone needs a silly lecture just because one person doesn't remember how to handle the spices of other cultures' foods. Some of us actually listened to our parents when we were first introduced to those different foods, and we've been able to enjoy them pain free for decades.
