Recently I posted my body recomposition, and I wanted to share the diet that transformed my body in 100 days. In this video I break down everything I ate for my 100 day diet, as well as the specific calorie and protein targets I used to transform my body. Hope you guys find it helpful, and that this diet can help you build muscle and lose weight like it did for me!

I’m a male and on 1300kcal diet; and weigh 199 pounds. I have lost about 9 pounds in 3 weeks. I’m doing intermittent fasting with keto. Do you think this is a good way to go? Also lately I have been going for runs. My longest has been 15 minutes at like it takes 7.6min/km I know it’s shit. Haha so do you think this will work as I plan to go to 150lbs Or should I do something different?

When I was active before quarantine, soy glazed salmon with asparagus and rice, tried and true good ole turkey burgers or grilled chicken on whole or spinach wrap. Recently been trying black bean sandwiches and apples with peanut butter as a snack.

@@iamgr1zzlybear639 I am not a certified trainer/nutritionist but you really shouldn't be doing that at all. You're putting a lot of physical (and maybe mental) stress on your body it seems to me. The only diet that works is the one you can sustain. Back in the day I had to cut some weight to meet the criteria to take the physical fitness test for the airforce in my country. So I did lose about 7-8 kgs in 2 months. It was absolutely pathetic, and over the course of a few months, I gained it all back, and much more. Sustainability is the most important. Try to aim for 0.5-1 pound weightloss per week and not more than that. The slower your weight loss, the more permanent it is going to be. Cudos!

Wow, this is amazing transformation!! Thanks for sharing it. I remember starting my own transformation about a year ago. I bought a diet plan from Dietarizee and started doing some exercises at home. My sister was making fun of me, thinking I will give up. But day after day, meal after meal, I managed to do it. I lost 80lbs thanks to my diet and dedication, and I'm strongly motivated for more. I'm feeling a lot happier now, especially because I can finally tie my shoelaces without holding my breath 😀

I think the main thing (which you demonstrate well in the video) is focusing on eating whole foods and preparing as much as possible from scratch. I also think it might be good for people to learn how to “cheat” in a healthy an sustainable way. It can be easy to give into the “all or nothing” mindset where 1 cookie is a source of guilt and potentially sets of a chain reaction of binging, whereas it ought to be seen as merely a “less nutritious” food that can be adjusted for in some other meal rather than it being the end of the world. I also think you’re correct in that protein ought to be high (probably higher than many people think). There’s a lot of misinformation out there about cutting, bulking, recomp, etc. Though it looks like you did a pretty solid job on your recomp/slight cut

I have the mindset you describe in your first paragraph. I can stay away from sweets and junk food for some weeks, but finally I always end up eating that cookie anyway some day and then I'm like "fuck it, loser" and I'll do 3 epic cheat days which kills like 1/4 of my progress. I don't really know how to end this circle.

I eat steel cut oats every morning - they're amazing! Cooking a 3-day batch in the evening helps save time in the morning. Also, as you get more into a diet, use a 5:1 water/oat ratio rather than 3:1 - same calories, but it seems like a much bigger serving!

When it cools it turns sort of solid, so I scoop as much as I want into a pot, add some milk (soy milk for me, but whatever you like), and heat it, stirring for about 5 minutes. I love your approach, especially with diet. Back when I was a young lad, I restricted myself so heavily that the list of foods I ate could fit into an acronym. I called it the "B.E.A.C.O.Q." diet (could have used a better name). I would only eat raw broccoli, eggs, apples, chicken breast, oranges and quinoa, while supplementing with fish oil, multivitamin, and good ol' whey protein. I did this six days a week, but my clean-cut 1700 calorie days turned into 3986 calorie Saturdays. I still made great progress, but it wasn't sustainable due to my meticulous diet. That's the biggest thing when it comes to body transformations. Sustainability, consistency, and persistence are priceless.

I tried a couple of things to get my cholesterol from going up even more, and the 2nd to last attempt was 'no sugars', basically. Well, it went up to even 210 mg/dl (high) so I found another food program and it's strict. Apparently, that's the only thing that will work for me, and it's called whole food-plant based (WFPB). Cholesterol dropped to 125 (ideal) and has been that way in all subsequent tests, which I stopped getting since I don't like wasting money. The side effects were losing 82 pounds from all time high, high blood pressure normalized and high resting heart rate normalized. Blood pressure last measured was 115/83 which is technically high according to the latest standards. The 83 has to be 79 or lower. Other than that, all benefits remain, 4 1/2 years later. Part of this effort eventually turned to cutting waist size, and that entailed weight loss at near the end of the 82 pound loss. The waist reached 31", so I must build muscle and lose the last 1.25" of fat later. I am doing lean gain. Foods you might want to try: My foods are basically whole plant foods: whole wheat pasta and black beans (from can, 1 ingredient). cayenne pepper, romaine lettuce. Also, frozen bananas for banana ice cream, with cacao powder. Further, baked potato slices, which is good for satiation and lower calorie density (to feel more satiated daily). Usually 15 ounces daily. No oil. Also, I eat carrots for lower calorie density, like bananas and potatoes. Additionally, I have baked whole wheat bread: 2 ingredients for cooking: flour, and yeast. Salt added to taste. Daily salt is measured with 1/2 tsp and poured into the shaker with a folded piece of paper. This ensures adequate iodine without excess sodium, and also the lesser amount reduces hunger, I find. This whole thing took time to figure out with trial in error: the right foods and good ones. Also, at first there were failures, of course. Took a few months to square away everything. Living alone without prohibited foods probably helps a lot.

I was on a program which required eating every 2.5 hours (2 meals/day, the rest were 100 cal snacks with @ 10g of protein). I recently came across a YT video quoting a study which showed that it's more about maintaining a calorie deficit rather than placing so much emphasis on eating frequently to "stoke the metabolic fire." Sorry I don't have more detail than that, but it's worth looking into. Eating frequently was definitely a big trend for a while but it appears that the science doesn't necessarily support it.

Excellent job! One way that I meal prep is by preparing casseroles. I will cook enough ground meat (or chicken, chopped steak, etc) for four meals and put that in the bottom of a baking dish that I have sprayed with cooking spray. Then I add a couple of large bags of frozen vegetables over the top (I let them thaw first). Then I mix a family-size can of and diluted Cream of Mushroom (or chicken, celery, etc). Depending on my goals at the time, I will add an appropriate amount of (prepared) rice or potatoes I have sliced with my mandolin slicer and precooked; sometimes I add some cheese. I bake it at 350 for about an hour, let it cool completely, and store it as four large meals. This template is great because it gives you so many different combinations by varying the protein, carb (rice, potato pasta) and the base (soup, marinara) and you only have to measure when you prepare it. Store it in your calorie-tracking app and it's always there.

I watched this last night on the couch while eating a cold slice of pizza 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ I work out hard and have been gaining muscle really well but my diet is still awful. This video was so helpful and I’m watching it again to take notes. Thanks so much for putting this together!

Coach Greg’s idea of meals make sense to some degree , but low calorie large volume dense foods like a tub of popcorn won’t sustain you, you still need the fats and proteins and carbs , my preference approach is what this guys shown here , eating Whole Foods and counting calories

But simple and yummy food. Beer is a food in Bayern (Germany) but not useful generally. After running 10k, 21k or marathon, or after cycling 4 hours, you can drink 1-2 beers for sure.

It’s all about moderation. Alcohol is bad and has a lot of empty calories. But if you are able to keep it to a minimum let’s say only 2-3 days a month. Ur fine. I have been able to lower my fat percentage with 2% while still drinking alcohol on a weekly basis. It took me about 2 months, which is longer that needed, but I just didn’t wanna do a crazy cut diet. It all depends on how fast u want to see results and how much you work out. I work out 5 days a week, so I know it fits my macros.
