In this video I Tried my brother's insane shredding diet to help me shred body fat while maintaining muscle. Lately I've been trying to bulk up and put on muscle, however, I've also started to notice I'm gaining a decent amount of fat as well. So, in an attempt to shred body fat, I asked my brother to swap diets with me and share his most macro friendly recipes to help burn fat. His list of meal prep is pretty detailed, and has helped him shred fat while still being able to build muscle. Hope you find his recipes helpful like I did!
Thanks Brendan for cooking for the day!!!
Have a great week guys! Cheers.

LOOOOVED this video. Awesome seeing the bro to bro interaction, also cool to see Derek! Super chill, super enjoyable. Brendan needs to learn the joys of a classic cast iron pan.
@RandallJT84
@RandallJT84 Жыл бұрын
The cast iron pan used in this video isn't properly seasoned. Once one purchases a Cast Iron pot/pan they need to "Season" it properly. Take the new pan, wipe out with a damp paper towel, and dry completely. Then, take 2 Tablespoons neutral oil (Veggie/Canola) and wipe the interior, along the sides and bottom; including the handle with the oil. Coating every part essentially. After one's wiped down the pan, add to a cold oven, allow to come up to 350ºF and let the pan sit with nothing in it for about 15-20 minutes. After the time has elapsed, turn off Oven, allow the pan to cool down to handle easily. Remove and wipe any excess oil that appears, and it's "Seasoned". This will help with sticking of food, and should be done regularly if one uses the Pan/Pot regularly. Over time, the "Seasoning" fades, and will result in food adhering to the surface. If food starts sticking as time passes with uses; it may be time to re-apply the Oil coating and do it all again. It's worth it, trust me! A good Cast Iron Skillet, Pan/Pot can last one a lifetime, if properly cared for. Cast Iron Pan/Skillet Cleaning Tip: Use a Paper Towel and a few TBSP. Coarse Salt (Kosher) to remove any stubborn bits from food (potato, meat, etc). Swirl the salt around allowing the food bits to come off the pan's surface. Wipe with damp towel, or if you must run through Warm water. Never use Dish Soap on Cast Iron. Always make sure the Pan is entirely dry before storing to prevent rust.

"Not the most adventurous person when it comes to food." > Proceeds to do his breakfast > Meanwhile my breakfast is 1dl of oatmeal, 2dl of water, put it in a microwave for 2minutes, add a handful of frozen blueberries and thats it. And I eat that everyday not only for breakfast, but for a midday snack and evening snack too. Just funny as I really am limited when it comes to cooking 😂 However, after starting to eat that porridge mix in March I have lost about 9kgs (roughly 20lbs) :) edit. That next snack was more like me :D

You either have to add oil to the cast iron pan (which is not calorie friendly) or use a non stick pan.

Good video, however when you are bulking you dont care about the slight bit of fat, keep bulking until you put on a decent size/strength then do a maintenance phase for a while and then you can do a cut, with a small deficit so you dont lose any muscle. Doing a random cut in the middle of your bulk is not good programming and is counter intuitive

The pan sticks because you've scratched off all the nonstick coating with that big metal spatula. Use wood and the pan will last longer.

Yeah I agree, he could've had JUST Egg instead with the hash. They started selling it in Canada last year. In fact, all of these recipes can be easily veganized. It's a bit contradictory for Cam's video on why he's staying vegan.

@@mafuzzychefstanaccount9957 I just feel like they believe in these “fad diets” and are trying to lose a little fat here, maybe get stronger for two weeks, then do something different again. I would prefer to see them stick to the basics of eating in a caloric surplus and just lifting instead of jumping around with all these minor things

This is way too complicated and time consuming. Too many ingredients and too much cooking. Just skip breakfast, do 10 000 steps a day and eat like 100g of nuts and a small can of beans at lunch. Then eat basically whatever you want for dinner without overdoing it too much and you are done.
