I really have a problem with equating systems with a technical/ software application. The systems view of the world's is so much richer, well beyond the technical space, and far more insightful than what can be attained through analysis.

Griyit, There are many ways the term "systems" is used - sounds like you are using it in a very broad sense, which is totally fine. That perspective of systems lends well to a business analyst type of role.

Add functional analyst to the list haha. I find as an ERP business analyst, I am more of a functional analyst or systems analyst than a BA. There is a lot of BA tasks but it depends on clients and projects. I do find it confusion sometimes

Awesome. I just became a BSA for a Power Company here in my local market. I am struggling a bit because the project that I'm on, was placed on hold and was started multiple months before my arrival.
