There is no good teaching coming from this hireling. These two lessons by John Doerr on what it means to truly be born again are very liberating! The Trueth of the real Jesus Christ’s gospel of grace toward the sinner has been hidden by Rome’s Jesuits and scholars, who work tirelessly to cast doubt on the Word of God. The devil has deceived the whole world. (Rev 12:9) kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2a3dYKplNl_prM - born again basics pt1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqjNaGuEZZ1jmdk - born again basics pt2 Romans 8:2 “For the law of the spirit of life, in Christ Iesus, hath made me free from the law of sinne and death.” The fundamental problem is the corruption of Gods word. In this link you can find a lesson on the unbroken testimony of Jesus Christ in the English language which is found in the authorized version of 1611. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWrPeoqahpWlmZI 2 Corinthians 2:17 “For wee are not as many which corrupt the word of God: but as of sinceritie, but as of God, in the sight of God speake we in Christ.”

Good teaching. The only thing I would perhaps disagree with John Piper on is that I don't think there is such a clear distinction between 'trespasses' (Greek: paraptomata) and 'sins' (Greek: hamartiai). I think these words more or less mean the same thing and are repeated for emphasis.

That's how I've always read it too. I found this video interesting, if maybe not 100% agreeing but it's something I'll enjoy thinking over in the next couple of days.

I also wondering how 1 John 3.4, “sin is lawlessness” fits into this video?

@@maxaplin4204 but there are 2 offerings to God. Sin offering and trespass offering. Only God can forgive sins. But Jesus Christ asked us to forgive trespasses of men.
@maxaplin4204
@maxaplin4204 3 жыл бұрын
@@churchie-yt1kc There were actually a number of different offerings in the Old Testament: burnt offerings, grain offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, trespass offerings (Lev 1-7). Today, Jesus has fulfilled all of these. Importantly, in the New Testament there is no real difference between trespasses and sins. So, for example, in Luke 17:3-4 Jesus gives teaching on forgiving a brother, and the passage goes in this way: 'Be on your guard. If your brother sins [hamartei], rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins [hamartesei] against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying, "I repent", you must forgive him.' (CSB) The Greek verbs here, hamartei and hamartesei, are forms of the verb hamartanein, which is the standard verb in the New Testament meaning 'to sin'. And this verb is related to the noun hamartia, which is the standard noun in the New Testament for 'sin'. Importantly too, in Matthew's form of the Lord's Prayer we have: 'And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors'. (Matt 6:12) In this form of the Lord's Prayer, debts is used as a metaphor meaning sins/trespasses. But note that both God and Christians are envisaged FORGIVING THE SAME THING, i.e., debts. So this counts against the idea that God forgives one sort of thing and Christians forgive another sort of thing. So both God and people forgive sins/trespasses.

You may also read the "Present with Religion", a book for free on the Global Truth Project.The book is about the truth of life and it shows the full picture of life for the first time so that you may stop being deceived by the world and be able to follow the steps of Jesus and other prophets to Heaven.Knowing the whole truth is the key to salvation.We must know the whole truth, live in it and change according to it in order to be saved.There is no other way to our salvation.With the knowledge of truth there comes the true repentance which is changing our minds, the also comes true obediance to God' s law and finally our sanctification which ia a life- long process. And God in His mercy will give us His wonderful grace which is time and ability to make the proper change.Only in this way may we be able to attain our eternal salvation. There is nothing more important and serious to do in this fallen world.We must find this narrow path that leads to God and do it quickly and stay on it till the end no matter what.Then and only then we will be saved.

You mentioned “images” in passing, but Im beginning to think that is huge. In some sense God is the only one there is without name/image/icon/concept. He is that Light that we can see the effects of but not see directly: As Peter says Christ is “dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see”. And we’re all familiar with the notion of seeing the effects of Spirit but not seeing Him directly. Id claim same is true about love. God is Light, God is Spirit, God is Love. according to scripture. Same thoughts apply to Paul saying “know God, or rather are known by Him”. We can know we are being known but cannot quite directly know Spirit (not entirely/directly). God as That Which Is. (actually Who Is). But not able to be conceptualized. This may be the motivation behind the tetragrammaton and even using ______ in place of Yahweh, not just out of deep respect but to convey that words and concepts are all utterly insufficient for the Majestic One. Everything is either a thing being labeled or a label, is an eye seeing or a thing being seen, is a knower or a known, the named or the name, the limit or that being limited, is a lover or a loved, the reality or the idea of it, a cause or an effect. In each case, God is never the latter. I cannot encounter my own Source in the same way I can encounter other creatures.

Thank you Jesus for my carnal/sinful nature without which there would be no threat of eternal conscious torment, I.e. hell. I would like to cancel the free will that you apparently gave me. I don’t need it as a means of appreciation or love for you or my fellow man. Surely you could have created in such a way that none of this was necessary....especially e.c.t.

Take heart Mr C. Piper and many like him are nothing more than Vatican apologists. They teach what the pope teaches. Futurism. The Jesuits have done a bang up job completely infiltrating Protestantism. These two lessons by John Doerr on what it means to truly be born again are very liberating! The Trueth of the real Jesus Christ’s gospel of grace toward the sinner has been hidden by Rome’s Jesuits and scholars, who work tirelessly to cast doubt on the Word of God.
