I think The Bear really does focus on family dynamics a lot. Specifically on the themes of single parent households (Carmy's dad isn't in the picture but his mom has a boyfriend who's an ass/Marcus's dad abandoned him to take care of his mom/Sydney's mom died at a young age/Ritchie's divorce) The only people who are shown to have the nuclear family units are Tina with her husband David and their son, and Sugar and Pete. I think the show is just interesting because it plays with definitions of family, what counts as family, familial trauma, that sort of stuff. I also think it's interesting how Marcus kinda mirrors Carmy and Sydney. He had an average working class upbringing with an absent dad like Carmy, but he was an only child with a loving relationship with the single parent in his household like Sydney. The whole rose growing out of the sidewalk I think is a great metaphor for his character as well. Sydney, Ritchie, Marcus, and Tina are all kinda going through these major transformations in their lives "finding themselves." I really like that the show is constantly paying attention to developing all of its characters. No one feels stagnant, except for Carmy which I kinda was annoyed with in Season 3 but I also understand his struggle for developing is gonna be a bigger longer haul.

the first office clip is sooo unhinged lol. But I loved this vid, if you have anymore about The Bear I will happily share watch!! Also it’s so interesting how Carmy and Emmanuel have never interacted, yet they both have perceived ideas of eachother. Like Carmy wants to know more about him yet Sydney is the one with the emotional guard to her personal life, and Emmanuel is untrustworthy of Carmy as a partner for Sydney. They definitely have to meet at one point, but I’m not sure how that will go down

I think you made a great video here - I forgot that most people would have narrated the entire video but simply contrasting both aspects of the show's family moments did the job perfectly.

@@SuriyaLinhStudios id love to see anything Marcus related, or a video talking more about Michael. That character reminds me so much of my dad that passed the same way.

@@lilyPeters-s7m I could do a short video about Michael but there’s not that much information on him. Also no offense but I find Marcus kinda boring 😂. Like im not sure what I’d say about him. But I’ll try to make something happen for a Michael video if I can
