#8 Kobe was one of the most explosive and dynamic athletes along with the skill set to match anyone in the game and #24 Kob was the more cerebral/surgical basketball player leading his own team to championships . An absolute pleasure to watch both 🥲🥲🥲

#24 was my favorite jersey in the NBA, where he won 5 NBA Championships and 2 NBA Finals MVP. In the NBA All Star Game, he collected 4 All Star MVPS and won the Slam Dunk Championship in 1997. I believed him as a hall of famer, a model father with 3 beautiful daughters, a teacher and a solidified Avenger in the last 23 years of his NBA Career. May he rest in power o’lord. 🇵🇭

No. 8 young and talented, explosive and aggressive, energetic, a winner. No.24 experienced veteran, a leader, wise, mature, cerebral, still athletic and very strong, also a winner. Both had smarts and athleticism. One just slightly edged out the other. My favorite player of all time.

2002-03 and 2005-06 was #8 Kobe. My favorite seasons. He had everything #24 had, but WITH a quicker first step and obviously more bounce. #24 had to be more cerebral because of the myriad of injuries he had already built up to that point, then obviously he suffered more as the years went on. But in that, he was a walking definition of motivation and inspiration.

@@arizonaFIREent Wrong. The LAKERS won only 1 playoff series those two seasons. One of those teams featured the guy who the internet loves to say carried Kobe. Kobe finally "relieves the load" off Shaq's back and averages 30 PPG but somehow they didn't win anything 🤔 The other team is literally one of the worst teams ever assembled.

The difference between Kobe as 8 and 24 is that 8 had issues from time to time understanding the consequences of his actions on the court despite how talented and youthful he was. No. 8 you could mentally take him out of the game and make him fight you like he fought Reggie Miller in 2000 and got suspended , he fought that dude from the Knicks in the 2000s, and he fought Shaq also he played outside his shoes sometimes. No. 24 Kobe was never compromised nothing. When Ron Artest tried to get in his head in 2009 Kobe knew exactly what he was trying to do to him and Kobe wasn’t going to let it happen The Houston Rockets we’re on the verge of forcing the Lakers to 7 games and Kobe understood that he had to be there every step of the way so instead of him fighting players like NO. 8 would he simply declined and backed all the way up. Also when Matt brings up when Kobe didn’t flinch. It’s because Kobe kept his eye on the game he was way too zoned in to let Matt trick him out of a W over the Magic. Kobe also had waaaay better footwork than No. 8 Also No. 24 was more open to making the proper adjustments quicker than No. 8 they were both good but you can’t stop time and over time Kobe learned so much.

#8 Kobe was sick. Athletic, swag, agility, fearless. #24 Kobe on the other hand was more of a maestro version of him. His footwork, IQ, Competitiveness, Killer mentality, leader, fundamentals and his will to win everytime he's step foot in the court. To me the 24 Kobe was better coz he knows the game more and he knows all the details on his game and how to improve that part oh his game, how to adapt his body coz he got a ton of injuries but still, his demeanor and competitiveness doesn't change and he's much more eager to improve and shows he's the best player in the world. You can't go wrong by either version of him coz he's still gonna bring his A game lol.
