Marco Sanchez, yup your right, & MJ has always been known as the greatest finesse player Ever! He might have copied everything but at least he has solidified himself as the closet to MJ. Which in order to pass MJ one must be perfect in the finals, have a killer instinct, & be consistent in the clutch. - DJ Facts, Rotten Apple Radio

Kevin Lewis, so why is there video footage of mike in the early days innovating moves that kobe & lebron later copied. So who stuck their tongue out before mike? & why do both kobe & lebron have pics out there w/the patented tongue hang. Fucking Larry Bird said that micheal jordan is God w/a basketball jersey. Last I checked a God is higher than a king & is deadlier than a mamba!!!!!!! You just lost round 3 of this debate 3-0 & you done son 😂😂😂😂 - DJ Facts

Kevin Lewis, I'm talkn bout classic sports network & your full of shit. Before any of the content on classic, no one was doing anything acrobatic. This is documented in literature & spoken out the mouths of basketball historians. Dude your ignorant & obviously don't do any due diligence. If you can't provide a researchable source why are you still typing...I'm off this! Your dismissed - DJ Facts

Only arguments for kobe > lbj 5 rings 81 points Arguments for lbj MVPs Fmvps Better stats More points rebounds assists Better field goal percentage Better three point percentage Always best player on his squad More finals appearances Best player in the world for almost 10 years vs kobe 3 years (05-08)
@MegaTank40
@MegaTank40 7 жыл бұрын
Shivam Kumar Wrong, Kobe has more All-defensive appearances, more career points, more All-Star aplearances, better footwork, better midrange shooting, better post game, more clutch, won with less (2 championships with Pau Gasol), much better off-ball game and played tougher competition in the playoffs. Also was the best player in the league from 03-10. Just because LeBron won back-to-back MVPs doesn't make him the better player. If that were the case then Steph>Lebron

Depends if wether in the definition of "player" we include the definition of "leader", or not. Nº8 was all about him and himself, as much as was about winning. It's even aknowledged by Kobe himself that his biggest mistake of that time was that he just wouldn't listen. And the final proof that he was all about him, as much as winning is that when the notion that he couldn't win without Shaq began spreading, he was done with it and he was ready to leave the Lakers if Shaq didn't leave first. In his own words "that was it". So he was giving up winning in the short term just to prove he could win on his own. Number 8 was all about himself. Number 24 probably would've curved that ball and kept playing with Shaq just to win a couple rings more. But Number 8 simply couldn't even think twice about it. The player was an utter monster, an one man army at times. Relentless and unstoppable as a player, but a....problematic roster member to say the least. And he was no leader. at all. Nº24 was all about leadership. He embraced the concept and role like no other player ever has after coming from the player he used to be. Of course it was leadership of Kobe's way: "My way or the highway". He tried a relaxed kind of leadership first, tried to step back and let people sort things out by themselves by being assertive with them. Then the Celtics and 08 happened, and from then it was game on. He would lead by example and expected the rest to do the same, anyone not meeting his standards would not get a pat in the back nor encouragement, he'd would get an exemplary legendary grilling. Mind you, it worked. they won in 09, but for me the reason by #24 is what defines Kobe and his legacy is that the '08 lakers would've melted against the '10 Celtics, far worse than they actually did in '08. 2010 Celtics IMO was a much stronger side than 08's, yet more or less the same Lakers that had melted in 08 this time they endured a 7 game grind, and won one of the ugliest (yet most emotional and hard fought) game 7s in decades. It was nothing short of a war, a war they fought until the last breath. They. The lot. Not just Kobe. He was on top, but this time the whole team was behind him with the same spirit he had. And that was because Kobe was the leader who inspired the rest to be the same, and that was what won the 2010 ring for them. That's Kobe for me. And that's #24. #8 was a hell of a player, don't get me wrong,but if you ask me whom I want for my team, wether the roster disrupting, yet spectacular, phisically unstoppable force of nature #8 was, or the less phisically adept, yet much more savvy, and the great leader he became playing with #24, for me is hands down #24. No questions asked.

I grew uo more on 24 kobe but i seen parts of number 8 growing up. I agree with steven a smith. Sure number 8 was more athletic but he always had to share the spotlight. Number 24 was athletic just not like number 8 and he became a leader and went to the finals 3 times without shaq and won 2 of them. Number 8 kobe didnt have the mentality to lead the team like 24. People talk about what he shoots from the field well lets see why. Since shaq left kibe has always been the only threat on the lakers who would scourch a team. He had gasol later on but gasol wasnt the type of player who got doubled or trippled teamed while playing that was kobe. Kobe was the best player and scorer for his team so his shots wont always be the best because his team was more role players then actual stars. While playing a position that was loaded with talent who could do almost what he could do. And still rose above them. No one cares what u shoot form the field when u win. All they see is that u won. And number 24 was all about that
