Thank you so much for all that valuable information. Information that I'll be putting to use as soon as winter is over. Thank you again, and keep bringing those excellent videos.

Thank you for an excellent video. I was initially overwhelmed by all the choices I saw at the building supply store. Your video helped me to make better choices for my patio. Carry On Sir.

So a supplier like that has a whole lot more to offer than a big box store. Good information!

Absolutely, plus higher quality 👍

Would you recommend Oaks manufacturer and specifically the Nueva® 150 Wall for steps or retaining walls?
@iamahardscaper Жыл бұрын
Personally I’d never install Oaks again.

I was surprised when I couldn’t find much reviews on Oaks. Your comments says enough :)

What manufactures you would say have a high quality products?

I think if you contact your local supplier, they will likely stock manufacturers that they stand behind.

Thoughts on Permacon Melville 60 pavers? Would you recommend?
@iamahardscaper2 жыл бұрын
I personally do not use Permacon, but they are one of I'd say 3 largest manufacturers.

I have a question about using a plate compactor. I understand 1000lbs of force is needed to compact 1” of material, would I be able to lay down say 2” of base and just do more passes with the compactor to compact it or should I lay the gravel down inch by inch compacting each layer?
@iamahardscaper2 жыл бұрын
You would have to do inch by inch. If you are installing a dense graded base (stone down to fines) add water as you compact.
@evananderson96902 жыл бұрын
@@iamahardscaper I am planning on using stone done to fines so thanks for that tip! Also to what extent would I be able to work through the rain with that base?

We are overwhelmed. We want a paver that doesn’t change color dramatically when wet. What is the best quality in your opinion. We have seen Basalite, Calstone, and Belgard. We are in Sacramneto CA
@iamahardscaper10 ай бұрын
Everything is going to change color when wet. But the best option from that perspective is porcelain. It has a much lower absorption rate than concrete so it won’t soak up that water and change the color once the water is off the surface
