I actually discovered I connect better with god when I am out in the woods or in nature than if I am in a physical church. The churches by me are never open (they only open for mass and that's it) and I stopped depending on them to speak to god. I just go immerse myself in his presence through nature.

@@offTheLeftEyemy battle at the moment is...letting people know, about the teachings of swedenborg, but without let them form the opinion, its an evil sect...you would not believe how many people think, i want to study in a sect in america. Especially my family. That is one reason more, why i distance myself alittle more from them. I love them, but i let nothing stand in my way to follow the path god has given me. And i find it sad, that they not even listen to the love and wisdom growing content of swedenborg, off the left eye and the new church. So many live in fear. And it makes me sad 🥲

I'm glad you like the dragonfly analogy! It seems that angels do know that they started out as humans on earth, even if they don't recall all the details of that life (thought they CAN recall anything that would be helpful to their present life). Swedenborg did not describe us as consciously existing in heaven before being born on earth, so, that is different than some other philosophies. He writes that our individual, conscious life starts here on earth, and then continues to eternity in the afterlife.

First of all, Silbi is the short name for Silbersittich.😄 Second of all, by "the list", I mean the writers I know from the OTLE-KZbin Channel.😀 Thd big Problem for me was that I couldn't really fit Swedenborg's teachings into those of the occults or Jürgen Ziewe. This was because of the classification of worlds or dimensions. The occults' experiences say that there are seven dimensions in the afterlife, Swedenborg, however, says, there are, like, the hells, (of whose I don't know, if they are, like, after all "gathered" or together form one dimension,) the world of spirits (same thing) and three heavens. Now, if you count 'em, you'll realise, that That's only five, and what does that mean? Well, in telling you, what Werner Stark has to SAY about it, I would like to ask you, what Swedenborg would have to say about it. However, Stark reports, that he had an NDE while an operation and then suddenly his lungs sort of gave up and after seeing his body in the operation theatre, he began flying towards a light, while seeing many souls who couldn't make to the light because they had such a, let's say bad chatacter or just were bad people. Next, he met his mother, who greated him with love and told him that an Angel would explain him, how the afterlife works. He then arrived and told him following things: The afterlife is divided into seven worlds or kingdoms in the higher ones. They are also pften refered to (because they are basically) states of minds).There are four lower worlds, which have the purpose of giving the inhabitants the Chance of learning and preparing for the three higher ones, which are offen refered to as "kingdoms". Here people live in peace, joy and love and are ever closer to the center of the worlds which is a sun which reflects every energy and at the same time is the source of everything. It radiates live which reaches the heavens best. And the lower ones only can get a small taste of it. It is, where God's throne is at. The idea is that we need to go through cycles at some times and leave heaven for, over time, surrendering the bad aspects of the ego, which he said, are, envy, hatred, jealousy and selfishness. But above all: anger. If every bad aspect is surrendered and we open the third heaven in our mind, we will live in the most beautiful flora and fauna, of which the physical plane is only a pale reflection. Ziewe's videos are sometimes half-an-hour and sometimes an hour long. The video, I would like to show you is one of the half-hour video. And sometimes (as discussed in "What it takes to reach different levels of heaven") that can include actually moving up to a higher level of heaven, if that is what the person wants. In the afterlife, location is ALWAYS based on what the person desires and cares about.

Do not meditate at all, since there is nothing upon which to meditate. Instead, revelation will come through undistracted mindfulness - Since there is nothing by which you can be distracted.

Hmmmm.... Here are some thoughts, rafe: Swedenborg says that there is no guile in heaven. That is, what you see is what you get. Your outer appearance perfectly reflects your inner self, your motivations and intentions and what you care about. So I'm thinking an angel would see what others see. As for demons, Swedenborg experienced that they look beautiful to themselves, but that "in the light of heaven," not so beautiful. Because contempt and dominion and revenge and self-centeredness aren't pretty! Some ideas to get started with!

Hello, jpants. I (Karin) believe you are still in this physical world, because I know that I am, and I am communicating with you through the physical-world internet. But you can decide for yourself by noticing particular things. If you WERE in the spirit world, the environment around you, or your house, or the weather, would change according to your moods or feelings. You would be able to communicate telepathically with other people, and to read their thoughts. If you were thinking intently about someone you love, with a desire to be with that person, you would instantly be present with them. If you didn't like what someone was saying, they would disappear from your view and hearing. So, there are a few measurements that you can test.

There are other signs too. so maybe im in limbo, i was a pretty big sinner so maybe im in a kind of spiritual prison until i clean up my act and only think good things. Also the stars and moon visably move when i look at them, its a dead give away that somethings not right. Then when i am looking for an answer like have i died already (like when i wrote this message to you) when i went to the supermarket later that day a man was wearing a shirt with big bold letters say "Dead and Burried", and made sure to walk in front of me a few times. Any advise/suggestions on my next steps?

@@jpants5144 I still think you have not died yet. You would be able to read other people's minds. You would be able to travel by means of thought. There would be no children around, because you would be in the "world of spirits" in between heaven and hell, but children go straight into heaven. My advice is to assume you are still here on earth, and focus on cleaning up your act, as you have said -- do your best to live with goodness and integrity each day, and turn to God for help.

But while you are living in this physical world, it's important to pay attention to the people here in the physical world, and the situations and tasks that need your attention. We need to make a positive difference here, and learn what physical-world situations can teach us, while we're here in a physical body.

Swedenborg's emphasis is that we need to avoid lust and promiscuity, using sex for selfish self-gratification. Instead we need to pursue fidelity, a committed and genuine love for one partner. The external varieties are not as important as the internal motivation to genuinely love and commit to one person, and to have our sex life be a part of that.
