So, You’re telling me women with bigger muscles than most body builders, that essentially do nothing but cardio. Are on steroids? Pfft. It’s all hard work, dedication & vegan protein bruh.

Honestly, with all the PEDs in CF and weightlifting, I'm gonna have to find a nice clean sport, like strongman...

I think a lot of recreational dopers who are coaches do it as a type of marketing, which is fine except when they're not open about it and they create unrealistic expectations for their athletes

Much to be said about the fact CF is seperate from other athletic disciplines in that it's highly commercialised by necessity because it's so niche. Watching the Games this year (I'm an amateur CrossFitter) there were ads constantly for so many different companies. They're even sponsored by the US military! If the sport wants to keep growing, there's no way they could let a very high-profile athlete get popped for doping. This is the sort of thing whistleblowers are needed for.

Man I can't believe Schmáté Schmásér was taking drugs all this time. That's terrible. Luckily true athletes like Mat Fraser or Tia Clair Toomey don't need them.

I wouldn't be surprised if CrossFit is protecting the highest and biggest personalities in the sport while simultaneously "catching" the smaller and lesser known top athletes as a way to try to create the illusion of "oh look, the athletes who do use PEDs are being caught, which means that no one else could possibly be using". Just think of all of the teams that got popped this past year alone

I'm so happy for such a plain and frank talk about this topic. Good to see someone who neither denies or demonize but just states the facts without having to go to extreme oponions.

The comment about how certain bodies control whether a person actually gets popped is my argument as to why Usain Bolt never tested positive. It would be a huge hit to the Olympics if it came out that he wasn't clean after he was basically the face of athletics for so many years.

Hahaha the plug for your crossfit program at the end. Best part of that is that I’m confident that it is waaaay more effective than WOTD’s!

THANK YOU for having frank discussions about how people are doping whether in CrossFit or Weightlifting. Being able to pass a test doesn't mean anything because everyone knows you can cheat tests numerous ways. Looking at CrossFit athletes, it would almost be stupid not to dope because everyone is most likely doing it and getting away with it and you gotta keep up somehow.
