I honestly probably might just build Digimon decks and play them with friends for the time being for fun instead of playing competitively mainly cause the last locals that I went for years that also did Digimon permanently closed down back in March due to the owners poor decision he made plus the only closest locals that does Digimon and is only 9 miles from where I live but only does tournaments on Sunday and for some reason at 1am.

I just wish Bandai would sell the rights to Digimon at this point. They don't deserve us fans and we damn sure don't deserve the heartache they put us through. I will never play another Bandai card game if(and when) Digimon eventually dies.

As a yugioh player, I left last week and switched to digimon. This gane is ALMOST fucking perfect, but even KOMONEY cares a bit more about their game (that doesn't mean they wanna make the game better, but they care for it to be profitable at least). This games needs to be taken care of, One piece tcg is bad af and idk how it is that famous. YGO and Magic are losing players, THIS is the time to gain new players Bandai.

Still salty how my lgs, a Gold status store didn't get accepted for Store regionals, but some smaller Bronze status store did. What exactly were even the requirements Bandai?! Did they just throw darts at random on a board?

Not sure if this is well covered, but the competitive rules handbook got updated 3 days ago. In that handbook, it now says that Nats invites will not be passed down. So with this on top of that, Nats will not have anywhere near the player base they need

It’s like you said it’s not hard to do better/good but you see it with a lot of corporations, let’s do the bare minimum and stir the negative pot that way when they do something good even just a little thing it seems amazing an monumental. It’s a shitty way to operate but unfortunately it works most of the time and no matter what type of community or fan base it is we never hold them accountable and the cycle will always repeat

I feel what Bandai is doing it’s only for this month on these states and then the next month will be for different states they’re just rotating the states for their regionals based on different card games happening and make it easier to manage

I feel like I am crazy, coming from other TCGs. I though Regionals were quite exclusive events that acted as a qualifier for larger more global events. If there are say, 50 of them in NA and each expects like 50+ players (more?? less??) and the top 16 get an invite to nationals, isn't that like 800 people at nats? I genuinely don't understand. :S Maybe I am abused by stuff like Pokemon where there regionals are these big events that happen more scarcely. Also I may be wrong but there are more regionals than just the store ones, yes? I know GenCon has a regionals

Aside from locals and casual play, it dosen't feel worth at all traveling for a shop tourney if this is how Bandai going to keep handling them while spreading competing stores so thin.

6 for the US is bad, but it's worse when you look at where they are. If you don't live on the east or west coast, you're gonna have a bad time. Kansas is the only one in the Midwest. And I guess RIP if you live in like the mid south. 2 for Canada is obviously even worse, but I feel like that's so obvious, I shouldn't have needed to mention it. But another thing of them being so few, is that like these events have to cap. As mentioned in the video, obviously this might lead to a small, exclusive Nats, but it's just less people get to play overall. Sometimes it's just nice to get partipation prizing and play some games and feel community. This ain't it, chief.

One piece is their new golden goose. They don't care about this game anymore. Have we not learned anything from Bandai from the previous games or years?? They have a track record of not caring once they find their new money maker and Digimon is no longer that.

Well, when Dragonball declined they just made a new one, irrespective of the money players invested in the first version. Tbh, I’m gonna enjoy Digimon as long as I can competitively but this is my last TCG. I wouldn’t be surprised if Digimon gets rebooted too, and the cards become incompatible with the new game. It’s a bummer to see this all happening, I thought the Digimon TCG could truly go the distance

@@klongwright-vf8ry Bandai's strategy is circle back to an old TCG and reboot it to create hype and milk it for as much $ as they can get. Watch them bail on OP maybe after a year or 2 or until they get their new TCG.
