@@VikkiTG They did a awesome job casting these guys. For Nikki Sixx you had to have a dude with charisma and a erotic look. Everyone talks about Vince and if course Tommy Lee is "legendary", but Nikki had a look. I remember a concert, 5th row left. Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wi. Monsters of Rock. Holy SHIT it was NUTS. My point, Nikki was on the edge of the stage jammin, staring lazers into these girls. Song ends he jumps down, and I'll bet they all left with him that night. The dude was a magnet. Everyone just loved the guy. God this makes me sound "off", and believe me I ADORE women, but all Nikki had to do was give you a smile and women fell at his feet.

Just watched The Dirt on Netflix . In my opinion , pretty damn good movie . I grew up in the 80’s , the best years of my life , as far as I can remember , it was all a blur to be honest . Motley Crue was a big part of the music back then . Yeah there were a lot of pretty boy rock bands , but Motley took it to another level . It was just as sad back then as it was in the movie when Vince’s daughter died R.I.P. Skylar . I’m no movie critic but I know what I like in music and movies and this was a pretty damn good movie . Nah, not even close. When it comes to music in that genre, you simply cannot go harder than the boys from Appetite For Destruction. I know you probably got some pretty visuals from that movie, but a Guns N’ Roses film would have to be a theater big blockbuster production. GNR was way better musically too.

BizWiz , it comes down to preference . GnR has some good songs and I liked a couple of them . Just preferred Motley over them . And in some cases I preferred White Snake over Motley . But since there’s no movies about GnR like this , I prefer to watch this one . Hopefully they make one , I would love to see it . I respect your comment , but not everyone will like this movie and some will like it more than others . It actually , to me , didn’t live up to expectations , but it was still a good movie .

@Dobbie Parsons i know there's some revisionist history in there, but the band approved everything, as they were all executive producers. I'm an avid reader so I completely understand why you dislike the changes. I'm trying to look at it like this: its a biopic, not a documentary, so they were free to take a little artistic license. *shrugs* I'm sorry you disliked it. Personally I believe this movie was truer to reality than was Bohemian Rhapsody. Since so many are drawing comparisons I figure I'll throw my two cents in. The CRUE were courageous enough to show the good, bad and the ugly. Truth can be very hard to display for the world to see. Many of these things that these guys went through were very dark and disturbing, very personal yet they still they put it out there for all to see with out sugar coating it. That's why the critics in my opinion don't like, because it was too much like reality. Well folks I applaud The CRUE for doing so. They could have cleaned it up like I feel they did with Bohemian Rhapsody. So in my humble opinion this film was better. To me it felt as if in the film Bohemian Rhapsody Freddie's behavior was somewhat mellowed for whatever reason. I believe Freddie would have said, " What the hell, show it all I'm gone so what's the harm". But who knows. Yet I digress, The Dirt revealed what lots of money and fame mixed in with copious amounts of drugs and no one to answer to can lead to. It's amazing that they all survived their journey. I for one appreciate the brutally honest take the CRUE gave us with this film.

Humanumikey i agree. So much to cram into 108 minutes. There were quite a few things they didn’t touch on, like WHY Nikki started using (car accident). Or how Nikki had met Mars years earlier at a liquor store and Nikki went to watch one of mars shows. They could have made this like a 6/7 episode mini series or mini doc. Teenage Nikki had the rage and rebellion that Nikki had. The adult Nikki in the movie was lacking that angst. MGK did Tommy perfectly. I’m going to say it was pretty hard to cast for Vince since he had specific little nuances and his smile was unique. However the actor who played him nailed his mannerisms as far as how he walked and carried himself
