So, she asked Eddie (who just happened to have been the only person to have stayed up into the early hours with her) to accompany her to the wash area because she presumably didn't feel 100% safe going alone, yet she was happy to go off jogging a trail on her own, even though she didn't like jogging and had a nasty callous on her foot....yeah, I'd be looking very carefully at Eddie tbh.

Seven hours is too much time to pass with a friend missing - in the woods no less - without contacting authorities or at least seeking out a park ranger for help. What the hell were they doing for seven whole hours? I can see two to three hours passing while trying to search for her on their own, not paying attention to how much time would pass, but seven?? That’s suspicious. The whole group is suspicious, not just Eddie. Even her cousin seems suspicious because of that. I do think people have a habit of convincing themselves that people who go missing in wilderness areas couldn’t possibly have just gotten lost and cling to fantasy ideas about mountain men serial killers and even cross into believing paranormal nonsense happened. It’s very easy to walk a few feet off a trail to relieve oneself and walk in the wrong direction thinking you’re heading back towards the trail. I also think we underestimate how far people with minor injuries (or sometimes very young or older people) can walk when they’re alarmed and realize they’re lost. It’s possible she just took the wrong trail or walked in the wrong direction, and the delay in contacting authorities who can search properly may have screwed her chances of rescue. It’s also possible something happened between the group while drinking and none of them are willing to tell the truth.

The number one thing I would need to know to really set an opinion is if any motorists saw Eddie during the time running along the road. If there were people that saw him running in the area (and even better if they had various people that saw him at various times to better determine if he actually went on the jog he says he did) it would lead me to believe something else happened. I rememeber when this case happened. I live in Thunder Bay and it was everywhere in the news. I work on the highways in this area and drive by there often and always think about this case when I do. Bears in this area are more stealth than you think. When working that area of highway we have bears sneak up on flaggers (the people holdng the stop/slow signs in construction zones) and steal their lunch coolers before being noticed. They also learn that construction crews usually have food and hang around the area. I camp, hunt and fish all these bush areas and I can tell you the terrain is trecherous and if you're not experienced it's very easy to get lost and possibly hurt yourself/become unconscience from a fall. Also the park is, as you said, right onthe Trans-Canada highway and here are many travelers and truckers driving it at all hours. It's not impossible if she was running near it someone could have abducted her. I am not sure what happened to her but hope there is closure some day. I have also attended the drag races in Terrace Bay every year for 10 years and the people that attend aren't too bad. Also just a note it is pronounced Scribe-er, as in a scribe who copies manuscripts. The "h" is not pronounced.

They SERIOUSLY need to look into Eddie. He probably mentioned showering at 3 am to cover his tracks. When he was showering he might have been washing off her blood after killing her. I doubt she left the campsite at all, especially with an injured foot.

I'm gonna be conspiratorial here, Eddie just 'fell asleep' after going an intensive jog? your body is pumped full of adrenaline at that point, i personally wouldn't have been sleepy at all.

I would be, I'd be passed tf out. Everyone is diff that's how come some people pass out after sex and others do not. In general men are the ones to fall asleep and women not but there's exceptions. That alone doesn't seem suspect at all

Ok after re listening... That " spur of the moment " decision to go camping up north is key....something happened to her before they made that spur of the moment decision!! Unfortunately Canada is so vast and if someone is going to get away with hiding a body its going to be in Canada... So sad

When you start paying attention to how many people simply disappear without a trace in national and regional parks, it’s truly scary. Even more frightening is when their remains are discovered in places previously searched several time or found miles away from where they were last seen! In all honesty, I’ve learned about so many of these cases, I don’t think I would ever feel safe in one of these parks and don’t ever plan to visit one!
@loveforeignaccents3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't think the jogger friend would do something like that cuz he would have one hell of a story to explain and hope her body in fact was never found, but it did cross my mind that he could have tossed her or pushed her over that portion on top of the river. I think one would find the body floating somewhere though. I'm leaning toward the abduction/murder theory. Very sad for this poor young girl and her family, especially her mom. Thanks for the video!

You're telling me that the victim went out for a jog...?! I don't mean to be rude but she doesnt look like the type to go out for morning jogs. Im thinking maybe Eddie did something while the others were asleep and made up the jogging story.
@Tokuijin3 жыл бұрын
Actually, she probably did go for jogs in the past, however, she had an inflamed callus, in which case, she wouldn't have had a reason to go for a jog anyhow, as that injury made it painful for her to walk. What she looks like is completely irrelevant to whether or not she took jogs. The story is still suspicious, however.

I really don't understand why people think it's far fetched that someone could hide her body, but it's totally within reason that she fell somewhere and randomly hasn't been found. Anywhere she could have fallen and not been found is also a place to hide a body, sorry
@kathyst.pierre59332 жыл бұрын
I'm from that area and I know Rainbow Falls fairly well. I also know that the whole area is located along a major highway, but everything else around is rough terrain wilderness. Hiking in too deep and getting lost or falling from a cliff or into the water there, which runs directly into Lake Superior, is absolutely possible, especially when you're someone not familiar with that kind of environment.

I share the sentiments of most here. They should be look closely on Eddie. She is too scared to go to washroom, yet too confident to jog alone with an aching foot? I wonder where Eddie buried her. So sad for her, I hope she did not suffer. Bless her family.

Now that I'm hearing all of this i sadly believe they ALL KNOW what happened to her..I believe it was an accident... And are too afraid that will be accused of murder...and it may not even have happened in the park at all..they used the whole camping and went missing there as their cover story...that explains why they never found her or her scent trail..hopefully authorities looked in the landfill and possibly another Forrest if one is close by...and obviously there yards and houses

I'm glad you cleared that up about wolves. They are harmless and black bears are afraid of humans as well.
@kathyst.pierre59332 жыл бұрын
They are absolutely not harmless. I grew up there and was chased by one at 3am while biking home from babysitting one night. People who don't live in communities like that say they're harmless, and most of the time they are cautious of people, but that doesn't mean they are harmless and they can't attack a human. Growing up there, we learned to be careful and aware, not naive and trusting that a wild animal is "harmless". That gets people hurt or dead.

@joshuahull99823 жыл бұрын
They were in the Canadian wilderness. I don't care what people say an animal could have killed her. Canada has mountain lions, wolves and bears and all of those animals would prey on a person if they are hungry enough. She also could have been abducted and killed or fell in a rock crevice somewhere and died.
@kathyst.pierre59332 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I'm from there and I've been chased by a wolf at 3am biking home. I never pedaled faster than I did that night. Also, in the fall, we all watch for bears, and when a bear has been sighted roaming in town, people are advised to keep their kids close to home. It may be rare that a wild animal would attack, but that by no means means it can't happen.
@sparrowhawkerdesigns3 жыл бұрын
How do people sleep so soundly (and so late) while camping? And yes, wolves rarely do attack humans, but there was the folk singer who was attacked and killed by a group of coyotes not too long ago, so it does happen. Or, even a bear or a mountain lion could have just scared her enough that she tripped and went into the river, or ran into a tree. Venomous snake bite? A human predator along the trail is possible as well. I will never understand why people (male or female) go off by themselves in the woods. Especially with an injured foot. And why wait seven hours to report her missing? It's not like she could go grab lunch and go shopping. They're in the woods! So very tragic.
