As someone who was preyed on by multiple members of my family, the thought that at least some people are making these to cope does track, since I'm still ashamed of some of the stuff I made from the ages of six to twelve, and glad I never showed it to anyone because as much as I didn't understand what was happening I did understand that the stuff I thought of was bad. Anyway If any if these kids are making these because if things that are actually happening to them I hope they get away from their families soon and I'm so God damn sorry. The kids who are making these for fun, well I just hope they realize these are events that haunt you for life. Really, these videos lower my hope in humanity. We don't want THIS to be the next generation. I also hate the fact that a lot of these videos get to stay up while very well-made KZbin Poops get taken down just for being based on a property. The part I hate most, however, is that my sister sometimes watches Gacha videos. But, she watches the ones based off of Miraculous, and they might be one of the ones without incest, so at least it's not too bad. However, the key-word here is MIGHT. I've heard of Five Nights at Freddy's videos made by people in the community that ship the Aftons with EACH OTHER. I don't think I have to worry too much, though, since my parents are people with an IQ above room temperature. I hope that this community (or at least the bad part) dies out, as all bad things should.

My little brother watches it too. And I know that he knows about the bad side of it. When he explains it he explains it as the weird and creepy side. So at least mentally he knows that stuff is bad (he's 12 but he's been watching these videos for years now so... concerning). But that stuff can still take a toll on a young mind. Honestly it sucks and it may feel hypocritical deep down, because I love content online. But I don't think I'd let my kids on the internet until high school. Unless directly monitored by me. In my household we didn't get phones until we were like 12 (11 for me because I had a bee allergy and my mom wanted me to be able to call in an emergency) and even still they were sh*tty tracphones. This is for the best; however my younger brother grew up with tablets and KZbin on TV. So... he's still exposed to it.

Hi, I'm the older sister of an 8-year-old. She watches a lot of Gacha videos and knowing how disgusting videos from the community can be, I always get anxious about what she watches. Her best friend makes videos glorifying murder and "edginess" and I have seen my sister making a similar storyline and told her that it wasn't good or cool to do so and denounced it. She understood. I warn my parents to monitor her from time to time but they don't understand how messed up the Gacha community gets. They just brush it off. So, I take the initiative to monitor her KZbin reccomendations and her history. I do all of this in front of her with her permission so it's not like I'm invading her privacy. However, when I expressed my monitoring of my sister, my friends called me "cringe" and overprotective. I just don't want to expose my sister to any of the awful and disgusting content....

I left the community as well but recently returned. I see a lot of bad press for Gacha KZbinrs, when the reality is there's a lot of gifted indervisual's who just want to share their art and story's. This part of gatcha is the majority not the minority. Its disappointing that the bad side of Gacha is all outsiders can see. When a lot of us don't even think those people deserve their platform's. I have yet to find a positive video not made by a gacha KZbinr about gacha. It seems no one can see pass those bad videos.

as a person who was in the gacha life community for a point in time, I stayed away from these kinds of things. It disgusts me that kids make these things and gives the community a bad reputation. I've honestly found a lot of genuinely good mini movies in the community that are really well edited and put together. Heck, I had a blast during my gacha phase making music videos and little skits. And im not to afraid to admit that. I just wish that kids would be more monitered on the internet. They are so impressionable and young and they really dont know any better.

Keep a low, calm tone. Explain to her that the videos make the bad stuff look okay or normal, but in reality they’re not and if any of it happens to her she’s to talk to a trusted adult about it. Simply say that it’s okay to still like Gacha, but just as long as she knows the subjects in the videos aren’t okay in real life or aren’t “normal” and shouldn’t be brushed off as nothing. They’re very serious things, and loads of people go through them. It’s not healthy to romanticise them and treat the likes of r*pe as “no big deal”. I hope I was able to help you there. You don’t have to follow my advice, I just offered it as a reference for a way to handle your current predicament.

I used to be a gacha kid, and I am so glad I left the community. I was influenced by the bad side if the community and it really corrupted the mind of little me. At first I saw the regular gacha clichés; the spoiled kid and princess stuff. And then slowly it turned into the abuse stuff and and the depression stuff and then it went to all hell with the "13+ inappropriate" stuff. I don't have the best long term memory, so that time is really fuzzy, but I do know that seeing those things and learning about that stuff really affected me. I have long since left the community, and I'm glad. Leaving allowed me to work on my art, writing, and bettering my morals. The stuff I saw messed up my perception of things and it took me too long to realise that it was very cringy and sick. I might've been able to better my perception of things, but the stuff I learned in that time is still with me. I am forever cursed with the things the gacha community introduced me to. Now, after reading that you're probably thinking "holy crap that community is hellish and should be stopped" and you're mostly right. But the thing is that the gacha community is like any community, it can't be so easily simplified. I'd say it's about a fifty fifty split between the cursed hellish side of the community and the normal/nice side of the community. Sadly the normal side doesn't get much attention outside of gacha communities. It's sad because some people make good animations and edits and stories with their characters, but all of that is drowned by the cesspool that is the other side of the community. It's sad and sickening and I'm glad I've separated myself from gacha things. Sorry for the long comment. Just thought I'd share my experience. If you have any questions just ask ig. Idk.

I agree with you honestly. As a person who's dealing with depression and anxiety, I get extremely triggered when it comes to people who mocks this type of topic. I make dark humor about it very often because that's one of the coping mechanisms I used to make myself better, even though it's extremely controversial. My friend was joking about how her crush raped her and my other friend was laughing along with her during rehearsals in Orchestra. I felt extremely uncomfortable. What I don't understand is that why. Why won't people understand how serious depression, suicide, and many topics are? Honestly, no matter how many times we speak up about this, no one is going to listen. They'll continue with their behavior and there is no stopping that. For example, racism. No many how many times we speak up on the Black Lives Matter movement, no one is ever going to listen. No one. That's why I never speak up on serious topics that much because how serious this is. People will never going to listen. This is today's society. The fact that young children are making videos about incest, lgbtq fetetization, abusive relationships, fake depression, r4pe, and so much more, is very unnerving. Young children should not know about things like incest and r4pe until they are much older, not at the age of 6, maybe 9 or 10 would be a good age just so they know what it is and how to prevent it from happening. I have also see some Gacha kids support the Twitter MAPS (minor attracted peoples aka ped0philes) which is even more disgusting.

I don't think that you should withhold teaching kids about rape, I think they deserve to know so that if they ever get in a bad situation they know that what's happening is wrong and they can try and protect themselves. I also think that it is probably much better to learn these types of things from parents rather than the internet, since they will probably not think they are 'edgy' and 'rebellious' for knowing about such things

As someone in the gacha community, i can confirm that not all gachatubers are like this. It just hurts to see people simply disregard the community as cringe because of a small side in it. Edit: 2:49 I saw many videos like that when i was younger and i never realized that (Toasterbathing) is a serious thing untill i actually had thoughts like that. I would even try to mimic the SH and attempts in the vids when i was upset. I remember a direct quote from a video on my old channel that basically said: 'I wish i could just disappear" "Then commit (Toasterbath)" Yeah messed up. Worst part is i don't remember the password or even username to that account so i cant even delete it. T.T
