The Dish: Chef Mashama Bailey

Mashama Bailey was born in the Bronx but also spent time with family in Georgia where she learned the art of Southern cooking. After culinary school she worked at top restaurants in the Big Apple. In 2014, she and a partner saw a unique opportunity in Savannah's old Greyhound bus station and opened The Grey. This year, Time magazine named it one of the world's greatest places to eat and drink. Bailey joins "CBS This Morning: Saturday" to discuss her culinary journey.

I am from Savannah, but have been living and working in Africa for a really long time. Mashama's show on Netflix was so inspiring. I just watched with my family, and we were all so choked up. Now, if we really have a new government, I want us to go back to our roots in Savannah as soon as we can work out the how part.

I love different type of beans like lima beans. That okra and pork chops look so good. I just had some lentils with kidney beans with a little bit of grass fed beef. It was so good with all those herbs added. Mashama looks so good. Those glasses wear nice on her.

Love this episode. I want to go and have dinner in your restaurant. I am trying to find out the song that plays when you are in the boat to get the oysters. The song is beautiful but haunting. Please somebody post the name of the song.
