The Grey is an award-winning restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. But, it’s also one of the main characters in Mashama Bailey and John O. Morisano’s book, “Black, White, And The Grey.” In this conversation with the co-authors and co-partners of the restaurant, we discuss their incredible success (including the impact of Mashama being featured on Netflix’s “The Chef’s Table”), the best possible thing that could come out of the pandemic for restaurants, and how a book their agent wanted to be a cookbook ended up being more about relationships and overcoming racial biases.
