My family has been going to Mo's for 4 generations.

Love this! Been going to Mo’s since I was a kid. So much a part of what makes the Oregon Coast - and particularly Newport - so special.

Been to the Oregon coast many times & visited Mo's two years ago. Amazing, delicious seafood!

In 1974 my husband was a policeman in Newport. Moe’s was famous then! I worked across the street on the bay and would pick up the chowder in a concentrated form to heat up at home. Soooo good! Yaquina bay was also well known for the kumo oysters.

Mo's was always a family tradition any time we went to the coast. We always got the chowder and salt water taffy.

Mmm! I love this feature. Been going to Mo’s since I was a little kid visiting Newport and now I am lucky to get to live here. So many delicious dishes. So much about what anchors the Oregon Coast and particularly Newport. Thank you for spotlighting Mo’s!

We moved to Oregon 30 years ago and loved Newport, OR, and Mo's. Nine years ago, we moved to KY, and everyone talked about Moe's. I was so excited thinking they had expanded and was so disappointed to find out there was another restaurant with the same name but different spelling. There is a Newport in KY, but it is nothing like the one in OR. We miss Newport, OR, and Mo's.

That's easy they eliminated the clams in Clam chowder and added more potatoes and watered it down. Mo's use to have thick chowder. Thick enough for your spoon to stand up. Grandparents use to live next to the one at Devils Punchbowl. When I was little. The one in Newport wasn't that great though.

May be they keep the crab legs in the food!!

Stand the test of time. Well no one who likes actual seafood eats there. The famous chowder is made from powder with maybe some poor quality clams.

Its not what it used to be the chowder is gloppy too much bacon and potato almost no clams. Weak food no fresh fish, everything is frozen.

Sorry, there is much better chowder and seafood on the Oregon coast than Mo's.

Mediocre at best, better than the Florence though.
