I am Tracies brother. First of all thank you for bringing her life to light and standing up for her to the toxicity in her life. She struggled with addiction for years. It was always on and off. She did try to get help numerous times even before she was on the but could never beat the addiction. My mom never gave up on her. She continuously tried to help and help and help even more but could never get through to Tracie. I reached a point where I couldn't help her anymore. I gave up on her during the last 2 years of her life which i now regret. I was surprised to see how many people loved her and cared about her after her passing.. There are many things that I never saw in her that I do now.l thanks to the many fans and friends of her that reached out to me. She was a loving person. The show didn't portray that. If you'd had the chance to meet her she would treat you like you were her best friend. She didn't judge. Her baby is a beautiful little girl and is so happy in life and is well taken care of. I want to also stick up for Matt Baier. I want to tell you what I know about him. I know he was there for my m9m and I after tracies passing. He helped me deal with dome of the media things. He's the person who woke me ip on how good of a person she was with his memories of her. He came to her funeral on short notice. He calls both myself and mom during the holidays and the anniversary of her death. I know there are negative things out there about him but thus is what I know of him. Thank you again for the video.

I have been thinking of your sister Tracie lately, like over a week and a half. So it’s so crazy that she randomly popped in my head and then I came across this video about her. I did NOT know that she passed away. I watched the show and I followed her on instagram. I just connected with her bcuz my sister was the same way. My sister died on Christmas morning at age 38, of an overdose. She died in a tent at a homeless camp. Your sister appreciated & was grateful for us all that followed her, left her comments and those who cared about her and checked on her. She would make sure to reply and “like” ❤ all of her fans comments. She would apologize that she didn’t get to all of her messages but she was trying. She said she’s not used to this. ❤ I had a lot of guilt after my sister died. I know I helped her so much, so many times but I still have that guilt thinking I should have done more. She would get better, then relapse. We’ll I just saw your message so I felt compelled to tell you o cared for her. She was a sweet person.

I agree too- but the production crew should have more resources for the participants, maybe even make some things mandatory if you want to be featured on the show, like individual AND couples counseling for Both couple members, drug testing, life skills classes for the ppl getting out, money management, parenting skills when applicable/for the ones who have (and continue to have🙄) kids... They could make them doing these things a regular part of the show, and hopefully show some type of journey of growth and leave them better than they found them, instead of just using them for whatever they get then just dumping them/not giving af once they've gotten what they want. They could easily make it mandatory that all participants accept those terms and conditions, bc the participants know that if they don't, someone else will. People are lining up to do these ridiculous reality shows, and Everyone who goes on them is a clout demon looking for their 15 mins- they'll jump through whatever hoops they have to to get this type of exposure.

@@ginanotafan1039 I agree 💯!!! The problem with this, though is that showing a couple in therapy or in drug class or any other healthy option isn’t the “style” the show is trying to represent. It’s showing messy addicts (I’m saying from their opinion. I’m in recovery- I FINALLY got together three whole years on Valentines Day!!! ♥️♥️♥️), sorry- messy addicts, thieves, fights, drinking, affairs, and whatever else they are “lucky” enough to get on tape to edit together for another “exciting” episode. And the worse they can make them look in the editing room the better for their pockets. Allegedly😉. I don’t think they care about the next right thing. Only the next buck, not helping the people on these shows, although I agree that they absolutely SHOULD DO everything in their power. But, as usual, the almighty dollar wins out……

If Tracy didn’t want to get clean, no help on the planet could’ve gotten her the help she so desperately needed! Yes, the show certainly exploits people! I have too many friends to count that are no longer with us due to addiction, and every one of them had families and friends who DID get them into treatment., they’d been in and out for years. I also have friends and family who have battled those same demons and so far, have been clean for many many years! Until someone hits their own personal bottom, and wants help..nothing can get thru!

I totally agree.... when it comes to TRACY there was a lot of good that was done to try and help her... what is sad is that this video only points out the negative about other people...Tracy was a victim of drugs..AND THE SHOW HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT...she could of took it in a positive way and use it as income to start fresh or something like that....IF EVERYONE WOULD TALK MORE ABOUT THE GOOD INSTEAD OF THE BAD that could be a good beginning....look at the whole story and maybe clip the scene where she is getting driven to rehab maybe 🤷

I've unfortunately had several friends with substance abuse issues who OD'd. (I live in west virginia and it's opioid central here). The very last thing people need who are in active addiction is the additional stress of a new relationship & cameras following their every move. Substances like that quite literally remove the personality & soul of the person using them. It's so hard to watch someone you love disappear. This story is so sad and my heart goes out to her family & loved ones

@Elettra Mia walgreens had to pay the state $83 million dollars for over supplying the area with prescription drugs. For example millions of pills were given out in areas with under 3000 residents. That's why I stated it's an epicenter because yes substance addiction is everywhere but it was concentrated in this area straight from the drug companies and pharmacies.

As a recovering addict, this is a story I have heard too many times. The people I’ve lost… the decisions I’ve made… I’m so grateful to be alive and have 4yrs. The best thing we can hope for is that the baby will be well cared for and have a better chance at having a safe, happy life. Drugs are killing so many people, fentanyl especially. It is heartbreaking.

Congratulation on your four year sobriety! My husband is a very functioning addict, and works 60 hours a week in construction, which is demanding on the body. How he takes dope mixed with fentanyl blows my mind and I’m afraid one day the concoction he mixes is going to be too much and he’s going to OD. It’s so scary and he thinks because he works every single day, that his issue isn’t really an issue.

@@marieneu264 I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Loving an addict is tough and not for the faint of heart. I have two suggestions for you: the first is to get into a support group of people who are in the same situation. You can go in person or they have meetings online as well. Second, stay strong in your encouragement of him to remain open minded & seek help. (Not just mental health/addiction help, but also recommended he get his heart checked). There are many people who are functioning while using, until they’re not. I feel it is a very fine line and stepping over it can happen so quickly. Many people don’t believe they are addicts until they hear someone they can relate to. I hope that one day your husband makes a change to live a healthier (longer!) life; with everything he’s doing already I can only imagine what an amazing person he must be, and would be without these monkeys on his back. Even a MAT clinic might change his life. Regardless of what happens to him though, I hope you take care of yourself and know this isn’t your fault in the slightest, and you are not alone.

This video was difficult for me to watch because I am friends with Clint. Clint has been to hell and back, not only in that relationship, but also the one he just ended a few weeks ago - where he was highly abused by Gen. Those videos are also on KZbin. (I had also been very good friends with Gen). Clint is NOT the abuser, he’s non-aggressive, he wouldn’t hurt a fly. She did indeed go to rehab … I want to say she went 3 times. But I think she only completed 1 program. Clint is high strung and very ADHD. He’s a good guy and I pray that one day, he finds someone that truly loves him for HIM. Not for his large trust fund. My younger sister and brother-in-law both died because of drug abuse. It was so sad to watch them deteriorate over the years. I'm also an addict/alcoholic, but I was able to get sober and have been sober for 9 years. Watching this reminds me how hard it is to find good treatment centers. A lot of them operate for profit, so they have little interest in fully helping and the rhetoric around getting sober, using the 12 steps puts way too much owness on the individual and not enough on the systems that led them to drugs and alcohol.

One thing that is always dangerous to people who have had addiction and are clean is getting with a partner who is not. That can wear your resistance to going back to the drug right down to nothing, especially if you are finally with this person who you have been able to build up in your mind as a "Goddess" rather than organically meet her. They were both able to build the other up in their mind because, when you don't meet in person, you can create this person in your mind without their very human flaws. Obviously no one can know for sure if Clint was or was not actively using the whole time or if he just said "yeah, one more time as a celebration and she promises she will be done". I just think that is an important aspect to consider when looking at people who are addicted to something. Either way, this is sad and horrifying. They have enough money to exploit these people and earn more money off of them but not enough empathy to see they need assistance that the producers can easily provide. It sucks and I hate it.

Also, you can never ever be hit in your entire life and still flinch. Let's judge the production crew not make assumptions about the victims.

The show paid for her to go to rehab. They paid her and paid for rehab. Clint slept in his car while she was there so he could visit her. She used 3 days later. So yes they did try to help. Tracie was very open about she was not ready to stop using. She was a very special and open and loving and special person. She should be remembered for the love and happiness and joy she always had gave to others. Plus the special gift she gave to a family right before she passed.❤❤❤❤

Constant fighting and worrying about getting that next fix for two very damaged people will exhaust your body, mind and spirit! This is so sad. I hope they get help. Yay, counseling and treatment works best when you're open to change and ready to participate in getting better. Your loved ones can't force you into treatment in most cases and even if they can no one can make you participate. From personal experience I have refused help when I needed it because I wasn't ready to change.

I’ve had to clean blood off walls, patch bullet holes, tried to help a lady one time from her husband beating on her & they both told police I was lying & were playing & were later kicked out for drug use & destroyed the room. It’s sad. But we need to pray for addicts because ppl love them too

Thank you for doing this story. Most addicts, do not want to be an addict. They're doing drugs to only function as a "normal" human being, because being sober is too painful to participate in daily life. They're mentally struggling, and pushing the darkness down, is easier and faster than actually fixing the core problem. I watched Love and Lockup, her and Clints story was the last one I watched. I've always wondered what happened to them. I never thought this would happen, and hoped she would get the help she needed. I agree that they had MANY, MANY chances to actually help her, and they failed. This is a perfect example of how dark "Hollywood" truly is. May she RIP, and I pray her newborn daughter finds a happy, stable home🕯💮

It’s so sad she lost her life to addiction 😞 Also, Matt from teen mom - he had an addiction problem as well at one point. So I believe he was probably feeding into her addiction as well! So so sad!

I love this video, you did a great job on this. As a recovering addict I can say that sometimes there are success stories like mine. I've been clean for fourteen years now. I started my recovery fifteen years ago and the first year I had many relapses and it's hard work everyday or when I'm triggered especially. I completely agree that perhaps if she had been given the proper help she could have been here today. Sadly though a lot of people try to get better but they just can't seem to get there. I thought it was in poor taste of the love after lockup staff to show her at her worst like they did. Anything for the ratings. The domestic abuse situations on the show are also in very poor taste to me, I'm also a DA survivor. I love this show but the producers etc. should realize these are real lives they are dealing with.

Idk, I saw it the other way round. Tracy relapsed as soon as she got out. Looks like it had been a pattern of being released on parole and violating with drug-related events. The way I saw it, Clint was maintaining sobriety until Tracy came and he started using again. For how much he idolized her, I can see how it would be difficult to be sober for too long. Tracy needed very real support, but clint had it going on, was vulnerable with and accountable to his parents. Watching his life fall apart as soon as Tracy showed up was heartbreaking.

Thank you for speaking up about this in such a respectful way toward not only Tracy and everyone involved but also toward addiction and addicts as a whole. As someone who is a former IV heroin and fentanyl user now in recovery, there are so many people that pass judgement on addicts which only deters them from seeking help. Yes addiction is a terrible disease which is very difficult to get out of, but recovery is possible when the person truly wants it and is surrounded by people who love and care about their wellbeing. ❤ The show/network definitely should have offered her help, or at the very least when realizing how much she was struggling, removed her from the show.

I appreciate you covering topics like this because typically it's not a show I would watch. So I wouldn't be aware of the situations with it. I had a thought after this video. That the lines of shows like this is eerily similar to what the freak shows were back in the day. Lot's of people were exploited for cash rather than being any type of healthy educational experience. I put Jerry Springer and Dr. Phil in the same category. "Let's make money and the more screwed up these people are, the better. So let's poke the bear too and create situations were they are worst. That will get more ratings." Anyway I remember seeing old PBS documentaries showing real struggles in a more compassionate way rather than to cash in on their missery like these shows. It's just super sad society has gone this way.

Hi, I am a recovering addict with 7 years clean. I can say after trying and failing to get sober for many years, looking back now, getting into a relationship while attempting/getting sober-especially with someone who is also “in recovery”, is literally the worst possible choice you can make. I would also guess they’re both using opiates, you can always tell by the raspiness in their voices as well as “being really tired” and both asleep in the car. Also 9 times out of 10, people who are incarcerated for a long time and have nothing to be released to will especially latch on to any naive person on the outside who is looking for love. This is heartbreaking that reality tv has come to this.
