The DIY "F32 M435i Racing" Project Build - Lets RIP IT APART!

We are diving in head first on our latest project car - a F32 435i that we are turning into a racecar! An extremely capable chassis, an awesome drivetrain consisting of the N55 / ZF8 speed, and tons of cars at very reasonable prices on the market really makes this an no-brainer for the next popular track car build for our BimmerWorld customers. The BMW Motorsport M235i Racing was a huge success on track, but they only made so many of them and lots of them have already met their demise from track-related argy bargy. This F32 435i will become our own version of a M235i Racing without the hefty pricetag or rarity.
Follow along as Phil and the BimmerWorld team start dismantling the car to see how much weight it can shed and also document the process for future customer that will be going down the same path. With these modern cars and so many modules and computers on board that are sentitive to change, we take a step by step approach to removing interior items and record how it changes the car - for better or for worse.

This is good stuff! I like how you experiment with unplugging different sensors and see how it affects the performance. I'm glad that someone is doing this kind of "what if" analysis, and not just bolting on the parts. Would be interesting to see a race seat install and the related coding process for airbags and seat sensors.

Step one…remove the chime. All others will fall into place.

I think a non-stop chime the entire time may make the driver faster so they can get back out of it quicker. And also hilarious...

Are you planning to fit the GTMore suspension to this platform or is that even an option?

No, it won't be anything that extreme. Just not the concept behind this build. Will rely on more factory style suspension components, but beefed up where necessary and obviously with performance in mind we'll still dig into areas where we can make better.

@@BimmerWorldMedia Will the GTMore kit bolt up the the F3x factory mounting points, other than likely tire/wheel clearance issues with the fenders and liners?
