First things first, I missed you bro and it's great to see another upload from you. As far as the Bloodline DLC expansion goes, while there were a few misses in regards to Aiden's motives and the gameplay, this was still a home run that I would indulge in a whole lot more than the base game. I still think if Ubisoft kept trying, Watch Dogs could be as big of a money maker as Assassin's Creed is. Sadly, after the reception of Legion, it doesn't look like we'll be getting another game anytime soon.

The worst thing about the DLC are these small references about previous games which are just dumb fanservice, like Aiden mentioning being rescued by Marcus when there was no way he could knew it, or Wrench being actually names Reggie, when it was clearly joke in wd2

Yay I got so excited to see you uploaded!!! Oh man I’ve played Bloodlines hundreds of times I swear (I’ve barely replayed Legion itself tho) and I have the same criticisms about his motives for going to London. As as a Wrench Stan I didn’t like some of his motivations in Bloodlines either. It’s very out of character for him of all people to work for someone like Rempart. I like the idea of something happening and him leaving Dedsec, moving on, meeting Zane, and starting his own company and all that jazz, but him working for Rempart makes no sense. Unless he was syphoning info out or something. I remember being so excited for Legion and my disappointment was intense but my love for Bloodlines is what keeps me coming back.

Having actual characters in bloodline definitely carried it to the point where it was actually enjoyable, but it really doesn't solve the core gameplay of the game, which is still mediocre at best

I agree. Bloodline is the only reason I’ve come back to Legion honestly. For me personally, 1 and 2 offer way better experiences in terms of gameplay, story, and the environment.

I will always say that it was an amazing concept with a ton of half-measures. I don’t particularly think it was terrible, it was just OK. It was clearly developed with the intentions of long term support, but fell flat on execution multiple times. I enjoyed the story because it felt personal with my unique roster and perma-death made every death impactful. Good, enjoyable endgame was just absent. Don’t regret the experience, but will always think of what could have been if things were just executed better.

It's kinda worth getting the season pass so you can play the whole main game as Aiden Pearce. So crazy they even got him to do all the story voice lines. Kinda seems like a fever dream

It definitely helps being able to play as Aiden or Wrench, but it can only do so much. Poor mission designs, limited gameplay mechanics, and a story written for a non set protagonist still hurt the game. But yeah I agree, if I'm playing through the base game again I'm using those two characters for the majority of it haha

Most likely would have been the same results, the story suffers from play as anyone. Don’t think sales would have changed much either. I do agree it would have been cool to see that original build, but ultimately play as anyone needed more time to be developed and built out (and even then making an engaging story would be difficult)

I would have loved that back in the day especially after the first game, but Bloodline feels like a conclusion to his story. I agree with you though, we need a character with multiple games. Unfortunately Ubisoft avoid that, it’s like they’re afraid of character development now. If you look at Far Cry or Assassin’s Creed they swap out protagonists and villains every single game.

It would be nice to see WD In Canada. In the Game Black Flags And Rouge your in Montreal inside Abstergo entertainment building, that’s actually an Olympic Stadium 🏟️. That would be Nice. Set In 2013 or 2014 in Canada with a Canadian Hacker To Take on some kind of antagonist in his past and also find out what the templars is doing and the character figures out that his/her family member is part of the assassins and is undercover to see what the templars are doing. The main protagonist goes and saves him/her from them as a DLC. That would be nice.

Watchdogs should’ve continued the series with Aiden Pearce as the main protagonist instead of adding new ones in the later games. Aiden Pearce is a fan favorite and easily one of the best protagonists in gaming with a lot of success. Watchdogs 1 was such a great concept, the depressing atmosphere, the gritty and dark storyline, the gun takedown animations, and the adrenaline pumping missions made you feel like such a badass vigilante that put the fear of god into people. But the next game added goofy ahh teens as protagonists, and the next game added no protagonist. If you gave this game to Sony studio such as sucker punch or naughty dog, they would’ve made this game of the year easily. They would’ve added way better story, character depth and art style, music, sound and better graphics (we would’ve gotten E3 off rip) and continue to build and give more adventures with Aiden Pearce and easily make game of the year. It’s a shame how Ubisoft has such amazing ideas yet horrible execution that stems from greed or lack of management.
