As a 15 year old, I fondly remember mowing lawns armed with my walkman, wearing out DOC's cassette. Between songs, he states something to the effect of "I feel like I have all of the knowledge there is to know." ...and thinking "so true, I agree DOC, we have all the knowledge there is"... as I pushed that lawn mower under the Florida sun. LOL Yes, we were both a little over-confident in our knowledge back then, to say the least. I still love that album. Great to see/hear that the DOC has such a positive attitude in life and didn't take the lower path after his devastating accident. Also, good to hear about his great vision for creating a youth center to promote music and technology. Lots of respect for the DOC. We are still and will always be learning.

Imagine if DOC were to create an album using AI-type vocals and recorded..would he?
@bedrock6443
@bedrock6443 Жыл бұрын
@@KuzzO_Bahn I mean thats the good stuff bout AI. It can give people who don't have a voice anymore or at least the voice they don't have anymore a place to make music. But if it is in the wrong hands it can cause destruction. In the case of the DOC it could lead him to create another album that he otherwise would be unable to create. AI in the right circumstances can lead to really good things. And since it can replicate voices it can lead to albums being created (willingly of course not by force) by people who have lost their voice.

The man was ahead of his time, in a era when the flow was changing. He stood at the time along with Rakim, Kane, & Kool G as the top lyricist is the game imo. 1989-90. Him losing his voice is was crazy at the time. Stunted his growth in that sense. He’s raps version of Penny Hardaway or Grant Hill.

So, back in 2001, I lived with The DOC’s producer Erotic D (who did the Helter Skelter album) and was also one of Dre’s producers. I was an aspiring rap artist who had been on The Queen Latifah show twice in ‘98 and ‘99. The first time I was with Snoop Dogg who wanted to sign me but couldn’t at the time because he had just signed to No Limit. He turned me on to Erotic D since I lived in Dallas. During that time, I met the DOC first at The Men’s Club, where he listened to my album while we sat in his Benz. The second time was where he lived at the Southside on Lamar where he and Erotic D were planning on making another album, of which I was going to be on. Nothing ever transpired after that, as I moved back to Washington State after getting married and decided to pursue a different avenue. About a year later, I spent several days with the CEO of Ruff Ryders in Seattle and was in talks about signing. I would have except my manager fucked off the deal by asking for too much and ruining any chance I had at success. DOC is the real deal. He was gracious and very humble and to this day, I respect the hell out of him as one of the pioneers
